Upon seeing Emily Miller, Cam Holmes was immediately aware of the challenge he would face in resisting her irresistible appeal. Both Cam and Emily had been selected to appear on the second season of Netflix's Too Hot to Handle, which premiered in June 2021. They had initially believed they were embarking on a luxurious vacation to discover love in a paradise-like setting. However, their hopes were swiftly dashed by Lana, the streaming platform's advanced AI system, which unveiled the strict requirement of abstaining from sexual activities in order to prioritize the development of emotional bonds.
The English natives immediately felt a strong physical connection and ended up losing a significant amount of money from the prize pot due to their inability to keep their hands off each other. As their relationship developed, it faced further challenges when Cam was caught flirting with new arrivals on the show Too Hot to Handle.
"In a strange, twisted way, I'm actually glad it happened because if it didn't occur on the show, it could have happened later on," Emily exclusively told We magazine in July 2021, following the finale. "So, at least we addressed the issue from the beginning and both emerged from it as better individuals. We're definitely a unique couple!"
Cam ultimately came in second place to Marvin Anthony in season 2, but he ended up winning Emily's affection. After the show finished filming in Turks and Caicos in February 2020, the couple made the decision to move in together once they returned to London.
"My family adores her completely. So I think they might be a little apprehensive about watching the show," Cam revealed to Us in July. "I have a feeling my mom will be keeping a close eye on us... Living together has erased any boundaries we once had."

January 2020
Cam and Emily, despite their age difference, quickly developed strong feelings for each other during their time in Turks and Caicos for season 2 of Too Hot to Handle. However, they found it difficult to resist the temptation and broke the rule of abstaining from sex.

"I have never been the kind of woman who seeks out relationships, but when I laid eyes on him in that villa, I had an instant reaction like, 'Wow,' and he felt the same way," she recalled in an interview on "The Squeeze" podcast in May 2023. "I know it might sound cheesy, but it truly was love at first sight."

After the finale aired, the pair confirmed they were still dating and had moved in together.
"We're in a committed relationship and currently reside together in the same house, although we occupy separate rooms," Emily excitedly shared in a joint Zoom interview with Cam for Us after the show's premiere. "At the moment, we're living at my mom's place, but we are actively searching for a new place to move in together. It's our next goal."
Cam chimed in, mentioning that they had only been apart for a mere four days since the conclusion of filming in February 2020.

Emily experienced a sudden collapse while shopping and was rushed to the local hospital. Upon diagnosis, it was revealed that she had an ectopic pregnancy, a condition in which the fetus develops in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus. Due to the inability of the fetus to survive outside the uterus, a pregnancy loss occurred. Emily shared on Instagram that if the situation had been left untreated for much longer, her fallopian tube would have burst. She expressed her fear of losing both her baby and the necessity of having her fallopian tube, and possibly her ovary, removed.
Several hours later, Emily underwent surgery. She remembered, "I couldn't tell who was crying more, Cam or myself, but it was an incredibly emotional experience, to say the least." Emily was released from the hospital the following day.
