Too Hot to Handle star Harry Jowsey recently shared his gratitude following his skin cancer diagnosis.
Jowsey, who is 26 years old, opened up about his health during the Race to Erase MS Gala at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Friday, May 10. He told Us Weekly, "It's a bit scary and a wake-up call, but it has really humbled me." He also mentioned, "Being able to inspire others to get their skin checked is amazing."
Jowsey, dressed in Giorgio Armani and styled by Monty Jackson for a charity event, disclosed his skin cancer diagnosis in April. He mentioned visiting a dermatologist for a skin check, where they discovered some skin cancer. Although he did not specify the type, he did reveal that it was located on his shoulder and had been present for over a year.
On April 26, Jowsey reassured his TikTok followers that he would be fine and everything would be okay. He took the opportunity to remind everyone that summer was approaching and urged them to remember to apply sunscreen.
Many of my friends reached out to me, saying that after seeing my post about my skin cancer scare, they realized they had never gotten their skin checked. This inspired them to schedule a check-up to ensure everything was okay. It turns out, 1 in 5 people have skin cancer, so it's important to get checked regularly and protect your skin with sunscreen.
Jowsey admitted that finding out he had skin cancer was the most frightening moment he had ever experienced.

He thought it was a fungal thing on his shoulder and had been using fungal cream for a year. When the dermatologist diagnosed it as skin cancer, it was the scariest moment of his life. Fortunately, he is doing okay.
Not only is the reality star thinking about his health, but he is also considering the future. His podcast, "Boyfriend Material," offers relationship advice and has helped him realize that he is ready to settle down.
I love my friends, but I am ready for something more. I just want to find a girlfriend, grow old together, start a family, and have someone to build a life with, Jowsey shared with Us.
He continued, "There is nothing quite like having your best friend be your partner. Being in a relationship is a truly special experience that I have missed. Hopefully, one day I will find that again. The podcast is all about growing together and learning how to be a great boyfriend. I am still a work in progress."
He laughed, saying, "I can receive advice, offer advice, and hopefully, one day I can give daddy advice."
After being diagnosed, Jowsey was flooded with support from his fans, including Ariana Madix, a star from Vanderpump Rules and fellow contestant on Dancing with the Stars. (Madix had surgery to remove a melanoma, a form of skin cancer, in 2018.)
Jowsey praised Madix, calling her the best. He described her as a sweetheart who always offers support and discusses important matters. He sees her as a caring figure, like a big mom or big sister.
