In The Rising of the Shield Hero season 3, the three heroes - Itsuki Kawasumi (Bow Hero), Ren Amaki (Sword Hero), and Motoyasu Kitamura (Spear Hero) will mysteriously disappear. This leaves Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero, with the responsibility of finding them.
During this time, Naofumi also has plans to rebuild his land in Melromarc. One of his goals is to liberate all the slaves in the country. However, when he consults the slave trader, he learns that the majority of the slaves have been transferred to a place called Zeltoble.
Naofumi and his party are about to engage in a disguised bloodsport event, introducing them to the new characters set to feature in the upcoming season.
