Michelle Lally and Jesse Lally ended things shortly after The Valley finished, but they couldn't do anything about it due to the reality TV delay. During the episode of Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's podcast on Thursday, April 25, Michelle, 36, talked about the timeline of their breakup.
"We wrapped up filming for [The Valley] in September [2023] after starting last summer," she shared. "In early October, I had a talk with Jesse and decided that our marriage was no longer working for me, so I made the decision to file for divorce."
Michelle went on to say, "Jesse and I have been separated since October. Since then, we have both been free to date and live our lives as we choose."
Jesse and Michelle tied the knot in 2018 after dating for many years. In 2020, they welcomed their daughter Isabella into the family before Bravo documented the end of their relationship for the Vanderpump Rules spinoff.
The news of their separation was revealed in March, just days before the show premiered. Michelle, 35, informed Brittany that she was prepared to file for divorce right after they parted ways.
"I have filed for divorce and it is happening. We are in the middle of it and hopefully before the end of the year it will be finalized," she mentioned. She pointed out that legal proceedings can take a "minimum of six months" after the initial divorce filing. "We as of right now don’t have to go to court because we are basically in agreement with almost everything. Hopefully we don’t need to and we will be done. My goal is to be done and move on with my life."
Michelle explained, "That is why I was like, ‘We need to file as soon as possible.’ It was a little tricky with the show because it was going to be announced and we didn’t know how to handle it. It was a little back and forth when we would file."
Despite the ups and downs in front of and behind the cameras, Michelle confirmed that she and Jesse were in a good place.

"We both agreed to start dating. We are officially a couple now and I have a boyfriend who makes me really happy. Our values and interests align perfectly," the real estate agent revealed. "From the moment we met, we just clicked. We share the same values and hobbies, and everything feels effortless. We rarely argue and I am constantly filled with happiness."
Michelle, who is said to be in a relationship with financial advisor Aaron Nosler, mentioned that her bond with her current boyfriend is unlike her relationship with Jesse. "I am totally different. I can't resist being close to him. It's like I don't even recognize myself," she shared.
In a previous part of the episode, Michelle informed Brittany that along with her divorce, she would be changing her name.
“I am currently Michelle Saniei Lally,” she noted. “I would like to keep Lally for now just for Isabella’s sake but eventually that will be removed.”
