Welcome to Plathville debuted on TLC in November 2019, showcasing Barry and Kim Plath and their nine children.
Described as living remotely in rural Georgia, the Plath kids (Ethan, Hosanna, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy) are portrayed as strictly adhering to their parents' unique set of rules. They have never consumed soda, are unfamiliar with iconic figures like Spider-Man and Tom Brady, and have never even watched television.
However, as the children mature and venture into previously prohibited avenues, the dynamics within the Plath family begin to shift.
Not all family members are willing to share their lives with the public. Moriah, in an exclusive interview with We in August 2021, explained why Hosanna does not appear on the show.
According to Moriah, Hosanna married young and moved away with her husband to start a life elsewhere. She made the decision to not be a part of the show, and we all respected her choice. Although we do keep in touch to some extent, it can be challenging due to the distance between us. Ultimately, it would be inconvenient for her to be involved with the show since she has no interest in being a part of it.
