Zoey and Zach's initial encounter in The Other Zoey is far from ordinary, but it ignites an undeniable chemistry between them.
In an exclusive clip from the highly anticipated film We, set to premiere in theaters on Friday, October 20, Zach (portrayed by Drew Starkey) enters Zoey's life in a dramatic fashion as he inadvertently strikes her in the face with a soccer ball.
“Apologies! I take full responsibility. Are you alright?” Zach inquires, ensuring Zoey is unharmed. “It might leave a bruise. Should I accompany you to the health center or anywhere else?”

Zoey, who doubts love, is unimpressed when she encounters the well-liked athlete. "You do realize our school has a soccer field, right?" she remarks before Zach offers another apology.
Her friend Elle (played by Mallori Johnson) lightens the atmosphere by swiftly finding humor in the moment, jesting, "You just experienced Zach MacLaren's ball firsthand."
Follow college student Zoey (Langford) in The Other Zoey as she finds herself entangled in a love triangle due to a case of mistaken identity. After causing an accident that results in temporary memory loss for Zach, who coincidentally shares the same name as her, Zoey is forced to pretend to be his girlfriend. Director Sara Zandieh shared exclusively with Us her approach to making the love triangle in the movie feel genuine. She believes that Zoey has chemistry with both Zach and Miles, so she focused on creating impactful scenes with both actors to guide the audience in that direction. Zandieh credits the superb performances of Josephine, Drew, and Archie for shaping the scenes and leading the audience down both paths.
The star-studded cast of The Other Zoey has already garnered an overwhelming amount of support on social media. Katherine Langford, 26, gained fame for her portrayal of Tessa Young in the After film series. Love, Simon and The Hate U Give are just a couple of the movies that have showcased the talents of 30-year-old Jacob Starkey, who has developed a large fanbase through his stellar performance as Rafe Cameron on Netflix's Outer Banks. Sophie Renaux, 25, captivates audiences as Mal in Shadow and Bone, a series on the streaming service.
Zandieh stated that she consistently thought about the cast's fans. She mentioned that the fans were highly enthusiastic about witnessing Josephine and Drew's foray into comedy. Zandieh expressed her fondness for directing and working with actors, emphasizing that the cast exhibited remarkable talent. Additionally, she commended their willingness to experiment and improvise in their performances.
