A new still from The Nun 2 depicts a familiar character in a dire predicament. This film will be the ninth installment in the Conjuring Universe, which originated with James Wan's 2013 film The Conjuring. Serving as a sequel to the 2018 movie The Nun, it follows the journey of Father Burke (Demián Bichir), novice Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga), and their guide Frenchie (Jonas Bloquet) as they uncover the haunting presence of a demonic nun in a secluded Romanian monastery.
Entertainment Weekly has released a chilling preview image of the horror film, providing a glimpse two months prior to its official release on September 8. Take a look at the full-size image below:
The image depicts Sister Irene, played by Farmiga, donning a complete nun's habit. Encircling her are several nun's habits, seemingly vacant, but it is probable that one or more of them conceal the entity she believed she had vanquished in the previous film.
