Highlights
Ryomen Sukuna taps into his true form, revealing a monstrous figure with four arms and two mouths, showcasing immense power and abilities.
Sukuna's true form grants him the ability to undo past injuries, replenish his cursed energy completely, and wield various powerful techniques such as domain expansion, cursed technique, domain amplification, and reverse cursed technique.
According to the theory, Sukuna's physical manifestation might stem from being a conjoined twin, drawing inspiration from the mythical tale of Ryomen Sukuna. This hypothesis accounts for his four arms, two mouths, insatiable appetite for human flesh, and extraordinary cursed energy reserves.
Ryomen Sukuna, a prominent antagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen, has recently unveiled his true power to the fans. Previously, Sukuna relied on vessels, but during his battle against Kashimo, he finally accessed his ultimate weapon. This involved initiating the process of reincarnation to assume his original form from the ancient legends. To the surprise of viewers, Sukuna now appears as a man with four arms and the ability to sprout a second mouth from anywhere on his body. This transformation may be perplexing to fans, considering Sukuna was once an ordinary human sorcerer like the others. However, there could be a significant explanation for his possession of four arms and two mouths.
Sukuna's Return To True Form
Sukuna engaged in an arduous and prolonged battle against Gojo, spanning several months. Throughout the fight, Sukuna found himself in a disadvantaged position, constantly on the defensive. The struggle eventually took its toll, forcing Sukuna to resort to a last-ditch tactic. Despite Gojo's formidable performance, there were moments where he could have potentially emerged as the victor. However, in the end, Sukuna prevailed by severing his opponent's body with his cursed technique.
Soon after, Kashimo entered the fray, unleashing his cursed technique for the first time. This further pushed Sukuna into a corner, primarily due to Gojo having already weakened him to a vulnerable state. Sukuna's abilities were greatly diminished at this point, unable to employ domain amplification, domain expansion, or reverse cursed technique. With Sukuna's weakened state, Kashimo had the opportunity to exploit his vulnerability.
However, unbeknownst to him, Sukuna possessed a hidden ace up his sleeve - a process of reincarnation that allowed him to revert to his true monstrous form. This transformation did not occur without warning, as earlier chapters subtly hinted at Sukuna's secret trump card. If Gojo's students had dared to attack him, Sukuna would have unleashed this power, completely altering the course of the battle. Finally, he unleashed this trump card against Kashimo, restoring him to his full power and reclaiming all of his cursed energy.
The Full Power Of True Form Sukuna
Sukuna possesses an overwhelmingly colossal power. Fans must remember that Gojo's previous attacks on him have been completely nullified. Sukuna can now freely employ domain expansion, his cursed technique, domain amplification, and reverse cursed technique without limitations. It is already known amongst fans that his cursed energy reserves are truly immense, surpassing all others in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Yuta believes that Sukuna's cursed energy reserves are at least twice the magnitude of his own, revealing just how perilous he truly is.
In Sukuna's true form, his biggest advantage lies in the presence of two additional arms and one extra mouth. Although this may initially seem inconsequential, the previous chapter showcases the immense advantage it provides to any sorcerer. Incorporating numerous incantations during combat significantly enhances Jujutsu sorcery, as exemplified when Gojo employed 120% Hollow Purple at the start of the fight to assert his arrival.
Utahime assisted Gojo in achieving this feat by utilizing her own incantations. The ability to administer incantations alongside performing cursed techniques bestows a significant advantage upon any sorcerer. Described as the greatest advantage for sorcerers in the preceding chapter, this is precisely what makes Sukuna a formidable threat. Each cursed technique he employs is channeled at maximum capacity, while his extra hands allow him to freely engage in combat while reciting these incantations.
Why Sukuna Has Four Arms And Two Mouths
Sukuna's possession of four arms and two mouths raises a lingering question. However, a prevailing theory suggests that Jujutsu Kaisen's Sukuna is inspired by the legendary figure Ryomen Sukuna, who was a conjoined twin. This theory proposes that Sukuna may also be a conjoined twin, which could account for his unusual physical attributes. In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, twins are perceived as a bad omen, as observed with characters like Maki and Mai. Twins are often seen as two individuals existing as one entity. For example, Maki believes that in order for her to thrive, Mai had to sacrifice her life, yet she perceives Mai's presence in her own existence.
In the legend, a man named Tengoku became engrossed with the conjoined twins he acquired. Eventually, one of the twins devoured the other, drawing a parallel to the Sukuna in JJK. Fans are aware that Sukuna is a cannibal who feeds on humans, so it wouldn't be surprising if he consumed his own sibling in the context of being a conjoined twin. Consequently, he became known as the demon with four arms and two mouths. This explanation could also clarify Sukuna's unwanted status as a baby, as he recently revealed in the story.
Sukuna's exceptional abundance of cursed energy can be attributed to a possible explanation - the fact that it surpasses Yuta's by twice the amount is completely absurd. However, this anomaly starts to make sense when one considers the prospect that he might have consumed his own brother.
While this remains a mere theory, it is widely popular among fans and presents thought-provoking points. It is irrefutable that no ordinary human in the JJK universe would naturally possess two additional arms and a supplementary mouth. Sukuna's unique physical attributes are undoubtedly connected to his past, and fans eagerly anticipate the series delving into this aspect of his character. Gradually, Gege reveals tidbits about Sukuna's personality and his encounter with the person who will teach him the meaning of love.
Currently, Yuji finds himself in a battle against Sukuna, and it is highly likely that more details about Sukuna's backstory will surface during their showdown. Perhaps, this will also confirm the speculation of him being a conjoined twin.
