Vanessa Ray from Blue Bloods and musician Landon Beard have a really cute love story.
After Vanessa's divorce in 2009, she met Landon during a rehearsal and they instantly connected.
Ray and Beard got engaged in March 2015 and got married in June of the same year.
Almost nine years after their wedding, the couple revealed that they welcomed their son Isaac into their family in November 2023.
Ray shared with People in February 2024 that Isaac Ray Beard was born on November 7th, entering their lives in a whirlwind. They had not been certain about having children or the timing of it. One day at work, Ray felt a sudden overwhelming sense of family and gratitude for their life.

Six years after meeting at a rehearsal, Beard proposed to Ray in the most adorable way.
Ray shared with Hello that he was convinced by his partner to take a walk to Pier 84 on the Hudson River, even in the freezing cold. Reflecting on the moment, Ray could feel his partner's excitement as they exchanged vows in the chilly weather. With the ring in hand, tears flowed, and Ray couldn't help but ask numerous questions about the proposal. From confirming if his parents and brother were informed to questioning if their friend Kelly Sullivan knew and approved of the ring.
Sullivan, Ray's closest friend, had the opportunity to witness this heartfelt proposal.

Ray shared with the outlet that his best friend disguised herself in a black wig and pretended to be a tourist taking pictures during the event. It took him a while to recognize her, but when he did, there were lots of dancing and tears of joy. The only regret he had was not wearing waterproof mascara.
Ray and Beard tied the knot in a cozy ceremony in Pala, California. They were joined by a bunch of well-known pals like Sasha Pieterse, Kim Matula, and David Hill.

Ray shared how her diagnosis of bipolar disorder and decision to seek treatment impacted her relationship with Beard. During an interview with Women on Top, she mentioned that upon returning from treatment, they had to attend therapy sessions together. Ray expressed how she was changing, taking responsibility for herself, and trying to be more present, while her husband was used to taking care of everything. This shift in dynamics led to challenges in their marriage, prompting them to question if they wanted to continue in a relationship where roles were reversed.
Ray shared that with the help of certain books and therapy, the couple was able to overcome their difficulties.
"Heading through it all, we managed to come out stronger, especially with resources like Codependent No More. It's a fantastic read that I recommend to everyone," she said.

“He was so kind and helpful, guiding us through all the information we needed to understand about adoption,” Ray shared with People in February 2024. “It's like going on a series of first dates. There's a lot of emotions involved, almost like experiencing a lot of heartbreak along the way.”
After taking a year to find a lawyer and fill out the required paperwork, Ray shares the adoption process went rather quickly.
