Frank's own son Danny, portrayed by Donnie Wahlberg, serves as a detective, while his younger son Jamie, portrayed by Will Estes, is a sergeant. Bridget Moynahan portrays Frank's daughter, Erin, who works as an assistant district attorney and has a daughter of her own named Nicky, played by Sami Gayle.
While the show initially featured various other stars such as Jennifer Esposito who portrayed Detective Jackie Curatola and Amy Carlson as Danny's wife, Linda, the six actors mentioned above have been with the show since the beginning and continue to appear in the series.
In November 2023, CBS declared that the upcoming season 14 would be the show's final one. Starting in February 2024, viewers can enjoy the first set of episodes, with the second part of the last season airing in the following fall.
