Amy Jo Johnson and the late Jason David Frank both built an amazing legacy within the Power Rangers franchise, and one impressive stat shows how important they were to the franchise. Kimberly Hart was one of the five teenagers with attitude who became superheroes in Mighty Morphin’s “Day of the Dumpster,” whereas Tommy Oliver joined the show in “Green With Evil.” Kimberly would remain in Power Rangers until Mighty Morphin season 3, while Tommy was a Ranger uninterruptedly until the first half of Turbo. Jason David Frank would still reprise his role as Tommy multiple times after Turbo, including as a series regular in Dino Thunder. Amy Jo Johnson never returned to the Power Rangers TV show after Mighty Morphin, although the character did make a comeback in one of the Power Rangers movies. Additionally, both characters were technically in Once & Always, one of the most recent entries in Power Rangers's chronology, although none of them removed their helmets. Together, they hold a record that can never be topped.

There have been three theatrical Power Rangers movies, and both Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson appeared in all of them. The original Green and Pink Ranger actors are the only two stars to have appeared in every theatrical Power Rangers film, although they did not play their Mighty Morphin characters in all of them. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, which featured the same Rangers as the latter half of Mighty Morphin, is a non-canon story that brought the Power Rangers to the big screen for the first time. Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson reprised their roles as Tommy and Kimberly, respectively, with Tommy already as the White Ranger. Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie was a much smaller release compared to the first film, yet it is the only Power Rangers movie canon to the TV show. It starred Jason David Frank as Tommy, now as the Red Ranger, with the team shifting from Zeo to Turbo to fight a new villain. Amy Jo Johnson returned as Kimberly for a small yet important role, with both her and Austin St. John’s Jason being kidnapped by Divatox and brainwashed into fighting the Rangers. Lastly, David Frank and Jo Johson had a brief cameo in 2017’s Power Rangers reboot as unnamed citizens of Angel Grove.
