Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is an RPG that combines survival and crafting elements, set in J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world of Middle-earth. Embark on an exciting journey through the procedurally generated mines of Moria, an ancient Dwarven Kingdom.
To survive the dark and treacherous realm of Moria, players must master the art of resource extraction and crafting. They will need to create their own tools, weapons, and armor in order to stand a chance against the dangers that lie within. Iron, a highly sought-after material, plays a significant role in various crafting recipes. This guide provides valuable insights into the effective methods of locating Iron in Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
How To Get Iron in Return to Moria
There are two ways for players to get Iron in the mystical depths of Khazad-dûm:
Iron Deposits
To efficiently gather Iron in Return to Moria, it is recommended to stay near the cavern walls which host abundant Iron Veins. While navigating the extensive underground labyrinth of Khazad-dûm, players will easily notice these Iron Deposits due to their distinct deep red color. Mining these deposits yields a generous supply of Iron. Players can equip a Pickaxe and simply click on the iron-rich walls to initiate the mining process, resulting in the collection of Iron Ore in their inventory.
Once players have mined enough Iron Ore, they can smelt it into Iron Ingots using a furnace. These Iron Ingots can be used to repair things or craft various weapons and tools.
Exploring Broken Buildings
Exploring various regions of the Map in Return to Moria is another fast and effective method to obtain Iron Ore and Iron Ingots. Look out for broken forges and furnaces in these areas, as they often contain precious treasures, such as crates brimming with Iron Ore.
Hidden at the back of dilapidated buildings, these crates can be discovered out of view. Upon finding a crate, players can break it to gather a quantity of 10 to 11 Iron Ore pieces. Furthermore, the Western Halls house an abundance of crates and boxes brimming with both Iron Ore and Iron Ingots.
How To Use Iron in Return to Moria
Once players have collected enough Iron, they can use it in a multitude of crafting recipes. Listed below are a few things players can create in the early stages of the game:
Iron Sword
Iron Hills Shield
Iron Hills Armor
Heirloom Armor
