WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for The Lincoln Lawyer season 2, part 1! Unlike season 1, The Lincoln Lawyer brings closure to Cisco's story arc while leaving his last name and the reason behind Lorna being instructed not to take it a mystery. In season 1, Cisco is introduced when Haller defends "Hard-Case" Casey on drug and firearms charges to help Cisco repay his debt to the Road Saints. Despite Cisco declining Haller's assistance and claiming he can handle his own debts, Haller continues to defend Casey. Towards the end of season 1, Cisco appears to strike a deal with the Road Saints' leader, Teddy, and rides away on his motorcycle.
In season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer, Cisco's storyline primarily revolves around his relationship with Lorna. They encounter various challenges before tying the knot, experiencing both highs and lows due to keeping certain aspects of their past hidden from each other. By the end of part 1 of season 2, they resolve these issues. However, one lingering question remains unanswered: What is Cisco's full name, and why does Kaz warn Lorna against taking it?
Cisco's Full Name Is Dennis "Cisco" Wojciechowski
The Lincoln Lawyer does not often reveal Cisco's full name, but the original Harry Bosch novels confirm that he goes by Dennis "Cisco" Wojciechowski. In The Lincoln Lawyer, he works as Mickey's investigator and in season 2, he goes back to working for the Road Saints without informing Lorna. Throughout season 2 part 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer, Cisco investigates Kaz, a fellow Road Saint suspected of being an informant according to Teddy. In the middle of the season, Lorna discovers Cisco's connection to the Road Saints and confronts him. Cisco confesses that he and Kaz are close friends and explains how Kaz once saved him from getting arrested. Lorna understands Cisco's loyalty to Kaz and allows him to handle his issues with Teddy and the Road Saints. Cisco's confession prompts Lorna to open up about her experiences in Law School. By the end of The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 part 1, they regain their trust in each other. However, it seems odd that Kaz requests Lorna to keep Cisco's name out of it.
Kaz Tells Lorna Not To Take His Name Because Of Its Difficult Pronunciation, But There May Be Another Reason
It is advisable for Lorna to refrain from mentioning Cisco's name due to its difficult pronunciation, as suggested by Kaz. However, Kaz's warning to Lorna may stem from a deeper concern. The Lincoln Lawyer establishes in its initial two seasons that Cisco, a private investigator, has previously found himself involved in dangerous situations with clubs like the Road Saints. Despite his desire to sever ties with the club, season 2 part 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer reveals that he still has unresolved matters. While he manages these issues adequately, he has not fully escaped potential problems caused by Teddy. This leads to the inference that Kaz urges Lorna to avoid associating herself with Cisco in The Lincoln Lawyer, aiming to safeguard her from possible harm if the wrong individuals discover their relationship.
