Lies of P is an upcoming soulslike game that draws comparisons to Bloodborne. The game revolves around the story of Pinocchio, a puppet crafted by Geppetto. Pinocchio awakens from a deep slumber upon hearing a mysterious voice, finding himself inside a train and embarking on a journey to explore the haunting city of Krat.

As players traverse through Krat, they will encounter various types of monsters, many of which bear a striking resemblance to puppets. These eerie creatures contribute to the overall atmosphere of Lies of P, a characteristic commonly found in soulslike games. Along their adventure in the city of Krat, players will stumble upon numerous invaluable items. One such item is Monad's Lamp, which serves as an early discovery for players starting a new game.

Monad's Lamp, as its name implies, serves as a valuable tool for illuminating the dark corners of Lies of P. Venturing into these areas without the aid of Monad's Lamp would be ill-advised, as there are hidden enemies waiting to strike. The first encounter with darkness occurs within Krat Station, where players will face two formidable foes: a gun-wielding puppet and a butler puppet.

Upon entry, the puppet brandishing the gun will promptly unleash a barrage of bullets. The absence of the lamp hinders the ability to perceive the trajectory of these projectiles, further complicating the already challenging task. Should players attempt to wander, the second puppet will join in the onslaught, intensifying the difficulties faced.

Where to Find Monad's Lamp

In the beginning of the game, players can find Monad's Lamp on the train. Once Pinocchio regains consciousness, they should proceed straight ahead and reach an area with tables and chairs. On the right side of this area, there is a long table with bottles of wine, and at the end of it, the lamp can be found. Upon approaching the lamp, players will be prompted with the option to investigate. By pressing the X button, they will obtain Monad's Lamp.

The game describes it as follows: "Do not be afraid even if you get lost in the fog. The cricket guide will be with you."

It is anticipated that Monad's Lamp may have additional functionalities upon its full release, including aiding players in navigating Krat and discovering their next objective. This would be a valuable inclusion considering the absence of such assistance in the demo version.

Lies of P is scheduled to launch on September 19, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
