Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in its final phase, and things are not looking so good for the sorcerers, as Sukuna has started to take things seriously in chapter 251. As the manga nears its end, fans are anxious about the series' conclusion. Will the cursed spirits prevail after Sukuna's win, which would result in the return of the Heian Era? Or will the sorcerers prevail with the win of Yuta and Yuji?
The theory in discussion today claims that the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen has been in front of the eyes of fans this whole time. X user @Fakewa shared the analysis of a TikTok user (suguru.gay.toe) that broke down the entire series and explained how the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen would mirror the events that happened at the beginning.

Exploring why the end of Jujutsu Kaisen will be the same as its beginning

According to a TikTok user, Jujutsu Kaisen could be considered a 'chiastic story.' This type of story mirrors the beginning events with those that occur at the end, creating a unique storytelling pattern. To help fans understand this concept, the TikTok user provided examples from two well-known media pieces.
The Harry Potter franchise is known for mirroring the first three books with the next three books, excluding the fourth book. Similarly, the Beauty and the Beast series also follows a chiastic story.

The anime series, both manga and anime, has not been released in chronological order. It actually begins with the Hidden Inventory arc (Gojo's past arc), followed by Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and then the rest of the series, starting with the day when Itadori's school is raided by a cursed spirit.
A TikTok user pointed out that after chapter 90, the mirroring effect in the series' story becomes clear. In this chapter, Gojo Satoru is sealed, mirroring Sukuna being unsealed (not in control of Yuji) after the fight with Choso in the Shibuya arc. This theory of a chiastic story is supported by further events in the series.

Mechamaru initially betrayed his teammates by leaking information to the enemies, but later returned to help Itadori during the Shibuya arc. This act mirrored Yuta's betrayal of Yuji during the Yuji Extermination arc, only to later assist him in the Culling Games.
The Kyoto Sister School arc and the Culling Games arc shared similarities, both featuring battles between sorcerers. In both arcs, there were interventions - the former by cursed spirits and the latter by the military.
Sukuna made Yuji feed Megumi his finger, similar to when Yuji had to eat Sukuna's finger to avoid being consumed by a cursed spirit in the first episode. On Christmas Eve (December 24), Geto's death mirrored Gojo's death on the same day.
A TikTok user suggested that the anime series could be a chiastic story and made predictions about its future. The video was posted on October 4, 2023, so we can now check if any of the predictions have come true.

It was predicted that a 'love moment' similar to Rika and Yuta's in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 could occur. This 'love moment' might manifest in the battle between Yorozu (Tsumiki) and Sukuna (Megumi). Yorozu kept emphasizing that she would teach Sukuna about 'love' throughout the fight.
A rematch between Yuta and Geto was anticipated, reminiscent of their showdown in Jujutsu Kaisen 0. This rematch took place following Kenjaku's clash with Takaba in chapter 243 of the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Once again, Geto (Kenjaku) ended up on the losing side.
Now let's look ahead to possible future scenarios that fans can look forward to. One prediction is that someone might try to stop the merger involving Master Tengen, similar to how Toji intervened by killing Riko during the Hidden Inventory arc.
As of now, Sukuna holds the power to initiate the merger, specifically through Megumi since Tengen passed it on before his death. To prevent the merger, Megumi could either eliminate Tengen or the individual slated for the merger. The former option may seem more likely since the current plan is for the merger to take place between Tengen and humanity.

An awakening similar to Gojo Satoru's awakening following Riko's death could occur. This awakening could be experienced by either Yuji or the revival of Gojo Satoru. It is expected that every sorcerer will eventually return to Jujutsu High after attending to their responsibilities, just like Gojo's return with Riko's remains.
Yuji or Gojo might defeat Sukuna and bring Tengen's body back to Jujutsu High, assuming that Megumi eliminates Tengen. Lastly, a restoration of balance could take place once again, resembling Gojo's emergence. This could involve the complete elimination of all cursed spirits or the eradication of cursed energy in general. The series could conclude in a manner reminiscent of its beginning, with Yuji and Yuta, the main protagonists, originally being non-sorcerers.
The official source has not confirmed these predictions, so take this information with a grain of salt.

The article delves into an intriguing theory that the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen will mirror its beginning, adhering to a chiastic storytelling pattern. This concept, supported by various examples from the series, suggests that the events that unfold in the present will find parallels in the past. The theory draws connections between the unsealing of Sukuna and the sealing of Gojo Satoru, as well as other significant occurrences.
This theory adds a layer of depth to the narrative and raises anticipation for the series' conclusion. It sparks speculation about potential future scenarios, such as the return of Gojo Satoru or a pivotal moment involving Yorozu and Sukuna. While these predictions remain unconfirmed, they provide an exciting framework for fans to ponder as they eagerly await the manga's final chapters.
