The big cliffhanger at the end of Station 19 season 6 saw Jack suddenly collapse, with him being unconscious at the time the credits rolled. What happened to Jack and what will happen to him is the biggest question Station 19 season 7 must answer. After killing off Dixon in the season 6 finale, it would be a big mistake for Station 19 to kill off Jack, who has experienced some of the show’s greatest character development and finally seems to be in a better place in his life.

One of the biggest storylines in Station 19 season 6 revolved around the mayoral race. With Dixon running for mayor and having a clear vendetta against the station and Crisis One, Travis made the decision to run against him. After Travis played a dirty move to hurt Dixon’s campaign, the former fire chief decided to fight back by releasing photos that exposed Chief Ross’s romantic and sexual relationship with Sullivan, her subordinate. Though neither Dixon nor Travis eventually became mayor, Osman hasn’t made any commitment to Ross keeping her position as SFD Fire Chief.

For the past two Station 19 seasons, much of Maya and Carina’s storyline has revolved around their journey to becoming parents. Station 19 season 6 saw their relationship struggling as attempt after attempt to get Carina pregnant failed and Maya spiraled deeper and deeper into depression. It was a rough season for the couple, but Station 19 season 7 is thankfully looking brighter for Maya and Carina.

Yet, the couple called it quits early in season 1 as she dealt with her father’s cancer diagnosis and the captain race. Then, Andy's first love, Ryan, was shot and killed in front of her, leaving her without the chance to get proper closure with him. Career and Future

As the youngest firefighter in the station, Vic’s career journey has been an interesting and ever-evolving one in Station 19. One of her first big storylines in Station 19 season 1 involved her being scared of fire and the team helping her overcome her fear. While other characters have fought to climb up the ranks in the Seattle Fire Department to be named captain, Vic has previously stayed content with her role in the fire department. It wasn’t until Station 19 season 6 when Chief Ross saw her talent in crisis management and suggested that she take over the Crisis One program that Vic’s true passion became clear.

Unlike Vic, Maya has expressed serious discontentment with her position as lieutenant since getting demoted from captain in the Station 19 season 4 finale. Maya saw her demotion as unfair and made this very clear to the department and Chief Ross, but her appeal never went anywhere. This led to Maya making many self-destructive decisions at work to try and prove herself, which put her health at risk in Station 19 season 6 until she was physically forced to slow down after an accident.
