The Dating Journey of 'Vanderpump Rules' Star Lala Kent: From James Kennedy to Randall Emmett

In 2018, Kent went public with her relationship with Randall Emmett after he finalized his divorce from Ambyr Childers. The couple later got engaged that same year.

After postponing their wedding ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic, the pair welcomed their daughter, Ocean, in 2021. Kent sparked split speculation later that year after she deleted all the photos of the film producer from her social media in October 2021. One month later, We confirmed that they had ended their engagement and were going their separate ways amid cheating allegations.

The businesswoman shared her new approach to dating after finishing filming season 10 of Vanderpump Rules. At BravoCon in October 2022, she revealed, “You won’t see me, like, dating, but you’ll see the dude who I hooked up [with].” She added, “[He was] the first boy I slept with since my last relationship. Which was very weird. I was like, ‘There’s cameras here.’ And I’m like, ‘This is a boy that I’m gonna hook up with. This is weird.’”

Kent was thrilled to experience the "best sex" of her life after breaking up with Emmett. She mentioned that it was not difficult to surpass the intimacy in her previous relationship. Kent jokingly added, "I can't help but throw shade. Being quiet is not my strong suit."

In March 2024, Kent happily shared her decision to have a second child using a sperm donor.

Reflecting on her first intimate encounter after her previous relationship, she added, "It was strange because there were cameras around. I thought, 'This is the guy I'm going to be intimate with. This is weird.'"

Kent shared a personal insight into her relationship with the football player on Give Them Lala. In the memoir, she opened up about her difficult choice to have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant with Hoffman's child at the young age of 22.

She described her struggle with even saying the word "abortion" and the emotional pain she endured during the procedure. Kent recalled the experience of having no sedation or anesthesia, feeling fully conscious of the situation, and tears flowing down her face from the intense pain.

Kent and Kennedy sparked romance rumors when they first met on Vanderpump Rules in 2014. Fast forward nearly a decade later, the Row actress revealed that they hooked up while Kennedy was dating Raquel Leviss and she was seeing Emmett.

Kent revealed on a show episode in February 2023 that he and James got together when they were new in their relationships. They went to Chicago in 2016 and had some drinks before boarding the plane.

The Bravo star first met Emmett in December 2015, and after three years, they decided to make their relationship public. In 2018, the Midnight in the Switchgrass director popped the question to Kent during a memorable beach dinner. Kent and Emmett welcomed their daughter Ocean in March 2021, but sadly, they called off their engagement later that year.

Kent has spoken out about her ex-fiancé allegedly being unfaithful during their time together, although Emmett, who is from Florida, has denied these accusations.
