Twitch personality HasanAbi recently criticized Dr Disrespect's decision to uninstall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as a response to a developer decision. In doing so, he has become involved in the ongoing NICKMERCS drama surrounding the popular game. HasanAbi is well-known for his frequent Twitch streams where he combines video gaming with commentary on left-leaning politics and current events. He has a reputation for being involved in various controversies and disagreements with other streamers, and has faced multiple bans from the platform. Given his vocal support for LGBTQIA+ rights, it's not surprising that he chose to speak out on this issue, particularly during Pride Month.

During a recent Twitch stream, Piker poked fun at Dr Disrespect, suggesting that he was more loyal to NICKMERCS' skin than to his own wife. In response to Activision removing the NICKMERCS skin from the DLC roadmap, the YouTube streamer uninstalled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the second time and promised to never play it again. NICKMERCS has recently garnered attention for his controversial comments regarding a pro-LGBT crowd outside an elementary school in Glendale, California. Although he didn't condone the violence, he defended the protesters' intent to stop the school from recognizing Pride Month. However, his views on topics such as vaccines and his feuds with other streamers, including Dr Disrespect, may make some brands hesitant to work with him. Despite the entertainment it provides, Activision is ultimately a business that aims to cater to as many demographics as possible in order to maximize profits.
