The Challenge USA’s Michele Fitzgerald declares that her relationship with Amanda Garcia will forever remain strained after their intense altercation this season

USA's Michele Fitzgerald stated that she does not intend to reconcile with her co-star Amanda Garcia following their intense altercation this season. Michele, 33, mentioned that she does acknowledge Amanda's role as a mother during the game and occasionally inquires about her son Avonni, but beyond that, their relationship is limited. She emphasized that their fundamental differences make it highly unlikely for them to ever become friends.

Prior to her elimination on the Thursday, October 5 episode of The Challenge: USA, Michele had a confrontation with Amanda, 29, during episode 2, which aired in August. After receiving three elimination votes, Michele angrily confronted Amanda, saying, "F—k you, Amanda, because I know you influenced this vote." In response, Amanda defiantly challenged Michele, saying, "Prove it, bitch."

Despite the intense conflict, Michele managed to survive the elimination round by defeating Ameerah Jones in the Arena. However, the tension between Michele and Amanda continued to simmer in the house. During their argument, Amanda brought up their shared history with fellow competitor Faysal "Fessy" Shafaat. (Amanda and Fessy, 31, had a romantic connection in 2021, the same year that Fessy and Michele sparked rumors of a romance after hitting it off on The Challenge: Lies, Spies, and Allies.)

"You were dominant in the Arena, now dominate in here," Amanda asserted. "I apologize for Fessy rejecting you and abandoning you once he noticed my presence. I understand if you hold resentment towards me because of it."

"You're incredibly immature, Amanda," Michele retorted. "Your obsession with Fessy is truly astonishing."

Michele revealed that in her opinion, Amanda has a penchant for drama. She believes that Amanda deliberately seeks attention and enjoys engaging in conflicts with others. Michele speculated that Amanda's motivation for stirring up trouble might be to ensure her return in future seasons of the show.

Apart from her feud with Amanda, Michele also clashed with Michaela Bradshaw in her last episode of the season.

Michele revealed that the intense conversation lasted around 45 minutes. During the exchange, Michaela accused Michele of "unraveling" and criticized her gameplay. The conflict arose when Michele went against Michaela, Desi Williams, and Chanelle Howell by voting to save Tori Deal from elimination.

Michele further explained, "I believe my gameplay is based on social interactions and emotions, while Michaela approaches everything with logic. This makes it difficult for her to understand my style of play, and vice versa. The tension between us built up over time until it finally erupted."

Regarding her current relationship with Michaela, Michele explained to Us that she perceives it as an integral aspect of the game.

"With my extensive experience of participating in reality competition shows for five seasons, I've learned not to take things personally. If I did, I would have no friends and would isolate myself in a dimly lit room. Michaela and I have distinct personalities, and I don't believe she is inherently malicious."

Michele, who was eliminated from The Challenge: USA after being defeated by Cassidy Clark in the Arena, now has an opportunity for redemption on The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion, set to premiere on MTV on October 25.

Teasing about the upcoming season, Michele hinted at an abundance of fights, hookups, and drama.

The Challenge: USA airs on CBS Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET.
