The Boys Teases Surprise Appearance by Iconic TV Lawyer!

The Boys' Twitter account playfully teases the inclusion of a renowned TV lawyer in an intriguing season 4 storyline, adding an exciting twist to Antony Starr's captivating portrayal of Homelander

The official social media account of The Boys sarcastically suggested that Bob Odenkirk's character, Saul Goodman, could potentially serve as a defense attorney for Homelander, the leader of The Seven, in a potential criminal case. This reference implies that Homelander is facing significant legal trouble due to his actions, which not only are known by many people but also require the expertise of a "criminal lawyer" like Saul Goodman.

The Boys' Twitter account shared a tweet featuring a picture of Goodman along with the caption, "Homelander better give him a call." In response to their own tweet, they added, "Saul ok, heard Vought's called a good man to represent the c***." Both Better Call Saul's and Saul Goodman's official Twitter accounts responded with GIFs of Goodman, indicating his readiness for the task at hand. Of course, this hypothetical scenario assumes that Goodman exists in the same universe as The Boys.

This tweet serves as yet another suggestion that Homelander will face legal consequences for his actions in the third season of The Boys. Despite being praised by his devoted fans for taking out a Starlight supporter who attacked his son Ryan during a rally, he also killed an innocent bystander without hesitation in broad daylight. It's hardly surprising that there will be legal repercussions for such a brutal and public act of murder. However, the larger issue is that Homelander may become increasingly apathetic, as he now realizes he can eliminate anyone he pleases without fear of consequences.

The inclusion of Saul Goodman in this universe, although nonsensical, would be an interesting sight. Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul adhered to a realistic setting, making it unlikely for a crossover with a world filled with superhero celebrities. Nevertheless, it would be amusing to witness how Slippin' Jimmy manages to evade legal consequences and assist Homelander. Reflecting on it, Saul Goodman's affinity for bending the law to favor his clients would have made him an ideal lawyer for Vought.

This tweet also suggests that Homelander's current predicament is severe. Even if the reference to Saul Goodman is intended as a joke, it implies that the case against the psychopathic superhero could be straightforward. However, it may not matter to him as he is the most powerful being in the universe, rendering a conviction inconsequential. The upcoming legal case in The Boys season 4 could potentially explore the favoritism often shown towards celebrities in legal troubles. It will be interesting to see how they address Homelander's situation.

The Boys seasons 1-3 can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
