Episode 23 recap

Alcyone approached Philomela, and Lizbeth became the new host for the Testament of Carnamagos. Elias revealed that the book's manifestation was attempting to forcibly collect what was owed. Lizbeth then revived her soldiers, only for the werewolf to appear and kill them once more before directly confronting her.

Alcyone intervened to save the werewolf from Lizbeth’s attack, causing the second layer of her soul, which Elias had uncovered in the previous episode, to shatter. It was later revealed that this was a hex placed on her by Adam, ensuring that a spirit in his image would serve as a shield for Philomela against Lizbeth.

Despite Alcyone's death, she passed on the memories she had recorded to Philomela before her demise. However, Philomela was overcome with sadness, as none of the memories depicted Alcyone and her together.

The Testament initiated an attack, prompting Morrigan to join the fight with the assistance of the Adam hex. Chise and her allies devised a plan, splitting into two teams and riding on half of Elias each. They located a weak spot for Morrigan to target, ultimately freeing the book from the Testament's apparition.
