Taye Diggs is currently figuring out how to handle his dating life.
"I honestly don't know what I'm doing," Diggs, 53, shared exclusively with We while talking about the Live Your PosSCZible campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month. "I'm just taking it easy for now."
Diggs expressed uncertainty about how to navigate the vast array of social media, apps, and websites available. He mentioned feeling overwhelmed by the options and unsure about how to move forward.
He shared that when he sees something interesting, he often wonders if he should explore it further. However, he admitted to lacking the energy to do so. Diggs expressed a hope that someone would come along to guide him through the choices, but also acknowledged that it would be okay if that didn't happen.
Diggs mentioned that he has had some enjoyable conversations with women, but his friends often make him doubt those interactions.
When he shares details with his friends, they question his words and actions. Diggs believes in being honest and straightforward, while his friends advise him to be more strategic and play along.

Diggs was last seen with Apryl Jones in public. They were first seen together towards the end of 2021 but parted ways last year.
Before dating the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star, Diggs was married to Idina Menzel from 2003 until they separated in 2013. They had a son named Walker in 2009. (Menzel later married Aaron Lohr in 2017.)
Diggs opened up to Us about the challenges of coparenting. He admitted that it wasn't always easy for him, especially when dealing with his own emotions after a split. However, thinking about his son, Walker, helped him shift his focus and energy. Once they got started, they stayed on track and are proud of their progress.
Although Diggs is still looking for his special someone, he finds great joy in being a father. He treasures the ability to have meaningful conversations with his son. Diggs shared with Us in April that he appreciates the intellectual stimulation and connection he has with Walker, who challenges him in a positive way. Creating a little being and watching them grow into someone you can have discussions with is truly rewarding.

Parenting has its ups and downs. One of the challenges is dealing with mood swings and resisting the urge to constantly ask if your child is upset. Just go with the flow and give them space. It can be quite the journey.
Apart from parenting, Diggs is also focused on launching the Live Your PosSCZible (LVP) campaign. This initiative, supported by Bristol Myers Squibb, is aimed at raising awareness for Mental Health Awareness Month and World Schizophrenia Day on May 24. Its goal is to change perceptions about individuals living with schizophrenia.
Diggs has a personal connection to mental illness. His sister, Christian Diggs, was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 28.
He believes it is important for people to understand that mental illness is something that can be managed, and individuals can lead fulfilling lives. This belief led him to launch the campaign "Live Your PosSCZible" to raise awareness about the issue.
Diggs expressed that Christian will always be his “little sis,” but he also mentioned that she’s “an inspiration” to him. He further stated, “She’s kind of become the hero of the family.”
