Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy always stay authentic, even during difficult times.
"We're heading to a cottage to create 'magical' memories, pretending that we didn't almost go through divorce three times while packing up the car," captioned the Dancing With the Stars couple in a shared Instagram post on Wednesday, August 9. The post included a video of the couple sitting silently in their vehicle.
Murgatroyd, aged 37, expanded on her point of view in the comments, stating, "It's all about the children. If you haven't experienced this, you're not doing it correctly."
Their celebrity friends promptly lent their support to Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy, aged 43. "I can totally relate to this," responded Candace Cameron Bure, who previously participated in Season 18 of DWTS.
Jana Kramer and Amanda Kloots, former DWTS alums, also found the comments section amusing.
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy have been chronicling their first family vacation as a family of four. The couple, who have a 6-year-old son named Shai, welcomed their second baby in June.

Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram to celebrate Father's Day and share the news that the New Zealand native had given birth. Shortly after, they announced the name of their second son, Rio John, in memory of Murgatroyd's late father. In an Instagram post on June 21, Murgatroyd expressed their joy and gratitude, emphasizing how their older son, Shai Aleksander, is already a wonderful older brother. They feel content and happy with their growing family.
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy, who got married in 2017, previously shared in January that they were expecting a baby after experiencing multiple miscarriages and unsuccessful attempts at IVF.
"I wasn't jumping with joy and eagerly announcing it to everyone," she confessed to We in March. "I was actually scared. It was a frightening moment for me because I wasn't certain if it would last. I wanted to shield my emotions and protect myself from getting too excited until it became a tangible reality."

After Rio came into their lives, they quickly adjusted to their new role as parents of two. Murgatroyd expressed the challenges and joys of having another child through a heartfelt Instagram post. She mentioned how their adorable little boy brought endless eyebrow scowls, playful smiles, and adorable chubby thighs. He has a curious gaze that captivates their attention. Murgatroyd also humorously described him as a "milk monster" who can eat for hours. Despite the sleepless nights, the past month has been a blissful journey for the couple.
