Why Sukuna Wants To Take Over Megumi Fushiguro’s Body

: The recent incident involving Sukuna's forceful escape from Yuji Itadori's body and his attempt to possess Megumi Fushiguro is one of the most significant events to date. Not only is Sukuna's method of executing his plan ruthless, but it also displays a lack of empathy. Allow me to provide a brief overview of the sequence of events.

Sukuna's Terrifying Domination: Unveiling the Ruthless Takeover in Jujutsu Kaisen [SPOILER]

Ryomen Sukuna, known as the King of Curses, possesses an immense and invincible power that cannot be extinguished. In addition, he has discovered a method to endure throughout the ages by dividing his powers and identity into the Twenty Indestructible Fingers. Those who consume any of these fingers gain a tremendous surge in strength, but it also offers Sukuna an opportunity to be reborn. This is precisely what occurred when Yuji Itadori ingested the initial finger at the commencement of the series.

Since then, Sukuna has essentially been reincarnated into the modern world, with his identity, consciousness, and some of his powers intact. However, he remains trapped inside Yuji's body due to an unbreakable binding vow. Although there are moments when Sukuna can temporarily take control of Yuji's body, he is mostly unable to do anything as long as he is confined within it.

However, Sukuna presents an irresistible offer to Yuji. They have made a secret deal, which Yuji cannot recall, that allows Sukuna to fully possess Yuji's body for one minute when he utters the word "Enchain". It is important to note that Sukuna is unable to harm anyone while in control. In recent chapters, Sukuna takes advantage of this opportunity and executes a plan he had been scheming for some time, while Yuji, Megumi, Angel, and Tsumiki Fushiguro are in the midst of rescuing Tsumiki.

How Sukuna Took Over Megumi’s Body

Sukuna's Terrifying Domination: Unveiling the Ruthless Takeover in Jujutsu Kaisen [SPOILER]

Sukuna desires to escape from Yuji's body immediately upon realizing that he is trapped within a metaphorical cage as a result of reincarnation. Unfortunately, he lacks the ability and resources to break free due to the binding vow. Additionally, even if he were to attempt an escape, he would require a new vessel. Therefore, based on his observations, Sukuna determines that Megumi Fushiguro, with his Zen'in bloodline and valuable Ten Shadow Techniques, would serve as a suitable vessel. Consequently, Sukuna begins his preparations to liberate himself from Yuji's body while awaiting the return of his powers.

As previously mentioned, Sukuna has divided his powers into curse objects known as twenty indestructible fingers. Since Sukuna is sealed within Yuji's body, he must wait for Yuji to consume more of these fingers in order to regain his lost powers. Without them, any attempt to escape from his confinement would be futile. As the story progresses and the Culling Game approaches its crescendo, Yuji does consume more fingers, either willingly or unwillingly. Finally, when Sukuna has accumulated enough power, he can execute his grand escape.

The Cruel Way Sukuna Completed The Take-Over

On that fateful day, Sukuna uttered the word "Enchain" as he seized control over Yuji's body and forcefully severed his little finger. Recognizing that Yuji had lost all control to Sukuna, Megumi swiftly prepared to launch an attack. Regrettably, Sukuna swiftly closed the distance, preventing Megumi from utilizing his abilities. To make matters worse, Sukuna forcibly inserted Yuji's bloodied finger into Megumi's throat. Given that Sukuna currently possessed Yuji's body, that finger was, in essence, Sukuna's own finger. Consequently, within mere seconds, Sukuna effectively shattered the binding pact he had with Yuji, escaped his confinement, and transferred his essence into a new vessel – the body of Megumi Fushiguro.

Sukuna's Terrifying Domination: Unveiling the Ruthless Takeover in Jujutsu Kaisen [SPOILER]

While Sukuna succeeds in departing from Yuji's body and entering Megumi's body, he still lacks complete dominion over the new vessel. Megumi's consciousness desperately resists Sukuna from within, hindering Sukuna's ability to fully utilize both himself and the body's capabilities. This significant limitation greatly hampers Sukuna's combat prowess. To gain total control over the body, Sukuna must shatter Megumi's soul completely and persuade him to willingly relinquish control. And what better method to achieve this than by transforming into the individuals he cherishes most?

Megumi's love and care are solely reserved for his beloved sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro, who holds a special place in his heart. However, their bond is tested when Tsumiki becomes possessed by the ancient spirit, Yorozu. Interestingly enough, Yorozu, a formidable jujutsu sorcerer from the era of Sukuna, is infatuated with him. Seizing this opportunity, the cunning Sukuna exploits Yorozu's obsession to inflict pain on her, aiming to shatter Megumi's very soul.

Rather than using his own formidable powers, Sukuna cunningly chooses to utilize Megumi's Ten Shadow Techniques to gradually torment Yorozu, who resides within Tsumiki's body. In this twisted scenario, Megumi himself becomes the instrument of his sister's slow demise. Unsurprisingly, this leads to an intense confrontation where Sukuna emerges as the victor. As anticipated, each wound caused by Sukuna on Yorozu's form deepens Megumi's anger and frustration, causing his soul to unravel further.

After Sukuna kills Yorozu and Tsumiki, Megumi's soul is consumed by profound sadness and depression. He loses all desire to fight or even to continue living, ultimately yielding his body to Sukuna. This enables Sukuna to exert complete control over Megumi's body in the most ruthless and efficient manner.
