Summary
Suits creator Aaron Korsh admits he has no idea for a potential reboot of the show and is hesitant to do one.
Korsh lists ongoing strikes, absence of a platform, and challenges in cast recruitment as obstacles for a revival.
Should the majority of the cast choose to reprise their roles, potential reboot possibilities may encompass a reunion scenario set in Chicago, Louis assuming control of the firm in New York, or a substantial Harvey and Mike case unfolding in Seattle.
Suits creator Aaron Korsh admits to having no idea for a potential reboot of the popular legal drama. The show originally aired on the USA Network for 11 seasons and follows the story of Harvey Specter, New York's top closer, who hires Mike Ross, a skilled but fake lawyer, as his new associate. As they rise to become Pearson, Hardman's leading duo, they must also keep their secret hidden.
Even though Suits has experienced a resurgence in popularity on streaming platforms, with fans discussing the possibility of a tenth season, Korsh reveals in an interview with THR that he genuinely lacks any ideas for a reboot.
Writing plots for a beloved show is a demanding task, requiring creativity and a deep care for its success. Without someone expressing interest in pursuing new ideas, it feels like torture to me. When fans inquire about what Harvey and Mike are doing in Seattle, I honestly have no clue. Generating compelling storylines is a challenge, which is why a team of writers is crucial. In fact, that's why we are currently on strike, so I don't have to face this alone!
Moreover, USA Network kindly provided us with a significant 26-episode notice before the show's conclusion. This gave us ample time to prepare and deliver a satisfying end. I take pride in every episode we produced and feel no shame about them. Therefore, I would hesitate to revisit the show. Rarely have I watched or been interested in rebooted shows that met my expectations. However, if the cast and crew were enthusiastic and if I could envision something that truly excites me, I would consider it. Nonetheless, if given the opportunity to create a new show from scratch, I would explore different avenues instead of continuing with Suits. Although, I must confess, the idea of a prequel centered around Robert Zane, played by Wendell Pierce, intrigued me greatly.

The Best Suits Reboot Options
Korsh has previously stated the reasons why a Suits revival might not happen, which include the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, the absence of a suitable platform, and the challenges of recruiting the cast. The last reason, however, poses the greatest difficulty, especially with Meghan Markle retiring from Hollywood. Even if the project manages to move forward without Rachel Zane, it remains uncertain whether the majority of the ensemble will be available or willing to reprise their respective characters for the revival.
Assuming Korsh can successfully bring back the majority of the cast, there are multiple ways to revive Suits. Firstly, a reunion case in Chicago involving Mike, Harvey, Louis, and Jessica would appeal to original viewers or those who enjoyed the earlier seasons of the legal drama. Secondly, an intriguing option would be to explore Louis running the firm in New York, with occasional appearances from Mike and Harvey in Seattle. Finally, a captivating storyline involving a significant case for Harvey and Mike in Seattle would undoubtedly satisfy any fans of the series.
The possibility of a Suits revival is currently uncertain. While there is a clear demand for it, several factors will ultimately determine its fate. The good news is that it is not an impossible task, especially considering the ideas presented on how to approach it.
