Premium Bandai has introduced three stunning new jackets inspired by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, available for pre-order. These jackets, which are reversible and feature intricate embroidery, boast vibrant colors that are guaranteed to make heads turn. Designed by the renowned Japanese fashion company 絡繰魂 (Karakuritama, meaning Tangled Soul), these jackets are specifically influenced by the Golden Wind season of the anime.

Simultaneously with the launch of pre-orders on the Premium Bandai official website, the announcement of these extraordinary jackets was made. Known as sukajan, a type of souvenir jacket, they rose to popularity after WWII. Crafted from lustrous, silky fabrics, sukajans are traditionally bomber jackets adorned with elaborate embroidery on the back, often depicting both contemporary and traditional Japanese motifs.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind aired its 39 episodes in Japan from 2018 to 2019, marking it as the fourth season of the anime. The dubbed version of the show was broadcasted on Toonami between 2019 and 2020. This season focuses on Dio Brando, who inhabits the body of Jonathan Joestar, as he embarks on a quest to become a "Gang-Star" and bring about positive change within the Passione gang. The story is set in Italy, providing a unique and captivating backdrop. Golden Wind is widely regarded as one of the anime's finest seasons, contributing to the show's current total of five seasons.

A total of three jackets are being released, each representing a different character. All jackets are reversible and feature two unique designs. The first jacket is dedicated to the main character of the season, Giorno Giovanna. It boasts a vibrant purple and gold color scheme, inspired by Giorno's distinctive attire and blond hair. On one side, the jacket showcases a detailed embroidery of Giorno's image on the back, while the other side displays an elegant floral pattern. The front of the jacket features a design that imitates the cut-out style of Giorno's chest piece, as well as his name and the empowering phrase "I have a dream that I believe is right."

The second jacket represents Bruno Bucciarati, the leader of the Passione gang. With a color palette of gold, brown, and white, the jacket perfectly matches Bruno's signature colors. The back of the jacket features an image of Bruno himself. Taking inspiration from Bruno's unique ability, Sticky Fingers, the reversed design incorporates a captivating collage of zipper motifs. On the front, Bruno's name is prominently displayed alongside the compelling English phrase "Are you prepared? I am prepared."

Finally, the third jacket is Diavolo, the primary antagonist and initial boss of Passione. The jacket's colors are inspired by Diavolo's pink hair and purple pants. According to the press release, this jacket boasts the highest number of embroidery stitches among the three, signifying its worthiness of belonging to the Emperor Diavolo claims to be. On the character side, the jacket showcases Diavolo twice, once in his regular form and once as a silhouette representing the duality of his personality. The reverse side mimics the design on his shirt. Additionally, the front of the jacket displays his name and the phrase "Emperor as ever, this is an ordeal."

These jackets do not come cheap, priced at 39,600 yen each ($271 USD), which is normal for sukajan jackets. Authentic versions of this jacket style are usually expensive due to their embroidery and reversible designs, and these JoJo's Bizarre Adventure jackets are the real deal. Not only are they sold directly from Premium Bandai, but they are also produced by Karakumitama, one of the premier sukajan makers in Japan.

Pre-orders for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure jackets started on September 1 and will continue until the end of the month. Shipping of the jackets is expected to commence in November. You may place your pre-order here.
