Warner Bros partners with Tubi to expand their free ad-supported network, offering a wide selection of blockbuster movies and TV shows such as The Batman, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman Stream these popular titles and more without spending a dime

Warner Bros. Discovery and Fox announced a deal to bring a variety of DC movies and other video content to the ad-supported streaming site Tubi. Starting in 2024, popular movies such as The Batman, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman will be available on Tubi. Today marks the beginning of the partnership with movies like Batman, Batman Returns, and Superman: The Movie already available for streaming on Tubi.

Tubi will be adding a variety of DC animated movies, including The Death of Superman, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, and Son of Batman, along with the Keanu Reeves film Constantine, to its lineup later this month. Additionally, Tubi is acquiring streaming rights to Blade: The Series, Judge Mathis, and People's Court, and will also have the movies Annabelle, Doctor Sleep, and Friday available for streaming starting in 2024.

Tubi, an ad-supported streaming site, offers users the ability to watch content without needing a subscription. However, viewers are required to watch ads, making it similar to traditional TV. The decision by WB Discovery to license content to Tubi is part of their ongoing effort to sell rights to their content to other companies. This includes a previous deal with Netflix to release titles like Dune and Band of Brothers on the platform. Additionally, WBD has moved titles like Westworld from Max to free ad-supported TV (FAST) channels in order to generate revenue. According to HBO boss Casey Bloys, the majority of people do not pay for any streaming service in the US and globally, so releasing content on FAST channels is a way to reach those audiences and make a profit.

"It's costly to produce these shows. The concept of them being locked away in a library indefinitely for $15 a month isn't how TV works," stated Bloys.

In recent updates, the DC series Watchmen was accidentally taken off Max, but it has since been restored and all nine episodes are now accessible for streaming.
