Highlights
Bethesda's Starfield is an ambitious game that offers players the chance to explore over 1,000 planets across a vast universe.
Executives like Phil Spencer and Pete Hines, who have had early access to Starfield, have dedicated substantial time to the game and continue to uncover new aspects, further showcasing its immense scope.
To enhance the already vast game world, Starfield will introduce a distinctive twist to the New Game+ option, encouraging players to continue exploring and playing again, thus heightening the replay value.
Bethesda's Todd Howard has confirmed that Starfield features New Game+. The game is a monumental endeavor by the studio, offering players the opportunity to explore over 1,000 planets in an expansive universe. Despite its vastness, there are dedicated gamers who have managed to experience everything Starfield has to offer and are still yearning for more adventures.
Reports indicate that some high-ranking executives, such as Xbox's Phil Spencer and Bethesda's Pete Hines, have dedicated countless hours to playing Starfield, yet they have not exhausted all of its content. Spencer is said to have logged approximately 200 hours, while Hines has accumulated around 160 hours of game time. Although it is uncertain how long it will take, eventually players will complete all of Starfield's main quests, faction quests, and significant side quests. However, they may wish to continue their journey without starting a completely new character.
Luck for gamers, GQ has verified that Starfield will include a New Game+ option. GQ recently conducted an interview with Todd Howard, the game director of Starfield. During the interview, it was confirmed that Starfield will offer a "unique and exciting twist" on New Game+, which will encourage players to continue playing and replaying. Although GQ did not disclose further details about Starfield's New Game+ feature, fans will have to wait until they can experience the game for themselves to learn more.
The official release date for Starfield is September 6, with early access available on September 1. To gain early access, interested individuals will need to purchase the Premium Edition or Premium Edition Upgrade. Although Starfield's Constellation Edition also offers early access, it has already been sold out. Therefore, if one does not have a pre-order, they will need to consider opting for the Premium Edition or Premium Edition Upgrade.
Even after Starfield is released, it may take some time for players to understand the mechanics of New Game+. This is because New Game+ is a new feature for Bethesda, as their previous games did not include it. Players will need to play Starfield to witness how Bethesda implements New Game+, and it is currently unknown how much time will be required for this exploration.
With New Game+ implemented, Starfield is guaranteed to have even higher replayability compared to Bethesda's other games, and that's saying a lot. However, even without New Game+, the extensive game world of Starfield will undoubtedly keep players engaged for an extended period of time. The release of Starfield is scheduled for September 6 on PC and Xbox Series X.
