Stardew Valley's Construction: Time Frames Unveiled!

Curious about construction timelines in Stardew Valley? Discover the precise duration it takes Robin to build farm structures, upgrade your farmhouse, renovate houses, and even tackle painting projects

Construction plays a crucial role in the farming journey within Stardew Valley, enabling players to transform their modest farm into a flourishing homestead. Overseeing all construction endeavors is Robin, the skilled carpenter residing in Pelican Town.

Located within the Carpenter's Shop, Robin provides an array of services pertaining to construction and home enhancement in Stardew Valley. Through this establishment, players have the opportunity to acquire diverse farm buildings that serve distinct purposes, facilitating the expansion of their farm. In order to ensure successful construction projects, it is imperative to meticulously plan, taking into consideration both the estimated completion time and the necessary resources.

How Long Does Construction Take in Stardew Valley

Construction work is initiated by Robin immediately after the acquisition of buildings from The Carpenter's Shop. It is essential for players to note that the shop remains inaccessible on all festival days. In the event that a job has already begun on the farm, these closures would postpone the completion of the task by a day. The duration of the construction process varies depending on the specific type of project.

The Farmhouse does not undergo any changes in its physical structure when upgraded. However, the upgrade does provide additional interior space. In Stardew Valley, there are three different upgrades available for the house, and each of these upgrades takes three days to complete.

House Upgrade 1 adds a Kitchen.

House Upgrade 2 adds new rooms and makes the kitchen and bedroom more spacious.

House Upgrade 3 adds a Cellar under the house, which can be accessed via the kitchen.

House Renovations

House renovations allow players to personalize their house by adding or removing specific features. These renovations are not only cost-free but also reversible, ensuring players have full creative control. Moreover, these renovations can be completed instantly, providing players with immediate results. The option to renovate becomes accessible after players successfully upgrade their farmhouse for the second time.

Painting

Players at the Carpenter's Shop can now easily paint the farmhouse, stable, and various farm buildings. To do this, simply select "Paint Buildings" from the construction menu. The best part is, it doesn't cost anything and there's no waiting time involved.

Please note that during the construction and upgrade processes, Robin will not be available for any conversations or receiving gifts.
