Squid Game: The Challenge eliminations
Below, we’ve broken down the results of each game and test, including how many players are left in the game for each one and how many players are sent home.
Game 1: Red Light, Green Light results
Due to the large number of contestants in the first two games, we have only provided the overall figures. However, as time has passed, we have started including specific details about who was eliminated, using their assigned numbers.
A total of 259 players are eliminated in the first game, the infamous Red Light, Green Light, meaning 197 contestants make it to the next round.
Netflix
Test 1 results
This game is unique as it includes all 456 players from the start, with the same rules as the original. However, instead of killing failed contestants, they are simply eliminated.
The initial test in the series involves players 101 and 134 making a covert decision between granting one player an advantage in the next game or removing one player from the competition. They ultimately choose the latter, deciding to eliminate player 200, thereby leaving player 196 in the running for the prize.
Netflix
Between the games in Squid Game: The Challenge, there are tests that are conducted either publicly in front of the group or privately. In this case, the other contestants were not informed about the test, which took place while 101 and 134 were preparing food for the rest of the dorm.
During this test, it was decided to eliminate player 200 as they were seen as a significant threat due to their strategic behavior. The decision was announced to the rest of the group, but the identity of the decision-maker was kept confidential.
Game 2: Dalgona results
In the game of Dalgona, participants are required to carve out various shapes such as a circle, triangle, star, or umbrella in a honeycomb cookie. Prior to the start of the game, eight players are eliminated, leaving a total of 188 contestants. Following the main game, an additional 69 players are unable to proceed, resulting in a total of 119 remaining participants.
Netflix
Having watched Squid Game, the players would be aware that choosing the simplest shape is the key to winning Dalgona - in other words, nobody wants the umbrella.
To address this issue, the group is instructed to form four teams in an empty room. The initial players from each of the four lines enter the Dalgona room and must select the shape for the rest of their team. If consensus isn't reached within two minutes, all four are eliminated and the next four are called in.
The first two sets of four teams fail to reach an agreement and are eliminated. After finally reaching a decision, Dalgona begins, resulting in the elimination of 69 more contestants.
Test 2 results
During the second test, a phone was smuggled into the dorm room. As it began to ring, player 198 couldn't resist and answered it, leading to his failure in the test. This resulted in his elimination from the competition, bringing the total number of players down to 118.
Netflix
At first, 198 is rewarded with a meal of burgers and fries for picking up the call. But when the phone rings for a second time, he must convince another player to answer it.
Game 3: Warships results
If he succeeds, the other player will be eliminated. If he can't convince anyone, 198 will be eliminated. In the end, no other contestant trusts him, he doesn't make it on time, and 198 is eliminated.
The third game, known as Warships, is similar to a life-sized version of Battleships. It resulted in a total of 45 eliminations, reducing the number of remaining players in the game to 73.
Netflix
All players are required to form eight teams, with two teams chosen randomly to compete against each other. These teams are identified as the red team and the blue team. Each team selects a Captain, who then chooses a Lieutenant to join them. Together, they take turns selecting squares on the board to launch missiles at the opposing team.
The remaining players stand on boats of different sizes on their board. Any players on fully-sunk ships are eliminated from Squid Game: The Challenge. The first team to sink two of the opposing team's ships wins, and the losing team's Captain and Lieutenant are also eliminated.

Test 3 results
In the third test, all the remaining players are required to select a player for elimination, and the three players with the highest number of votes will be eliminated. As a result, players 374, 330, and 161 are sent home, leaving a total of 70 players still in the running.
Netflix
The potential downside of this trial is that the voting takes place in full view of the entire dorm. If a player is chosen again, their vote won't count. However, those who vote for a player for the first time may find themselves becoming a target.
Ultimately, five players end up on the board, but only three go home.
Game 4: Ddakji results
Netflix
Another noteworthy game, although not an official one, is Ddakji, the game used by the salesman in Squid Game to recruit players. In Squid Game: The Challenge, elimination is not a consequence - instead, the victor receives a candy bar.
232 and 243 entered the kitchen area and discovered two Ddakji cards. Player 232 then taught 243 how to play, showcasing their skill in the game.
Shortly after, an announcement declared that 243 had lost, leading to 232's distress over potentially contributing to their friend's elimination. However, a staff member arrived to award the winner with a chocolate bar, bringing both players a sigh of relief.
Test 4 results
In the concluding examination of Batch 1, a group of five volunteers is required to select a jack-in-the-box at random for opening – within it, they will find either an advantage for the following game, the ability to eliminate other participants, or their own immediate elimination. As a result, seven players are sent home, reducing the total number of remaining contestants in the game to 63.
Netflix
During the initial round, participant 183 discovers that he must remove two players from the game and decides to eliminate 026 and 141. The following round results in player 375 eliminating himself. In the third round, contestant 087 is tasked with sending one player home, and ultimately chooses to eliminate 176.
Player 130 receives an advantage from the fourth jack-in-the-box, but player 229's jack-in-the-box forces him to leave along with players 243 and 232 before he can use it. Look out for updates on the results of future games and tests in new episodes.
That’s all the eliminations and results from Squid Game: The Challenge so far, with Batch 2 of the episodes set to drop on Netflix on November 29. You can find more about the show below:

Squid Game: Unveiling the Series' Ongoing Eliminations
Squid Game: The Challenge has taken the world by storm, captivating audiences with its intense games and shocking eliminations. As a fan of the original Korean show, I was eagerly awaiting the release of this new iteration, and I have not been disappointed. The first five episodes have been a thrilling ride, filled with nail-biting challenges and unexpected twists.
One of the things that make Squid Game: The Challenge so compelling is the high stakes involved. In the original show, the contestants were playing for their lives, and the stakes were incredibly high. While the contestants in The Challenge are not risking their lives, the $4.56 million prize is still a life-changing amount of money. This creates a sense of urgency and desperation that is palpable throughout the show.
I was particularly impressed with the first game, Red Light, Green Light. This game was incredibly suspenseful, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The way the game was filmed, with the camera cutting back and forth between the contestants and the giant doll, created a real sense of tension. I was also surprised by the number of contestants who were eliminated in this game.
Overall, I am really enjoying Squid Game: The Challenge. The show is well-made, and the games are exciting and suspenseful. I can't wait to see what happens in the remaining episodes. I am also curious to see how the show will compare to the original Korean version. While I think the original show is still the superior version, The Challenge is a solid adaptation that is sure to please fans of the franchise.
