Additionally, producer Naoki Yoshida and Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed an upcoming Xbox Series X/S version of Final Fantasy 14, demonstrating Square Enix's dedication to the Microsoft console.
Square Enix has traditionally favored PlayStation for the launch of its newest releases, but now it seems they are strengthening their partnership with Xbox. At the recent Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest presentation, Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu confirmed their plans to bring more games to Xbox consoles in the future. This includes the release of Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox in Spring 2024. Kiryu expressed their intention to bring Square Enix games to Xbox whenever possible, indicating the potential for more new games to be released on Microsoft consoles.
