Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not be invited to friend Hugh Grosvenor's upcoming wedding. "We are unable to disclose the guest list," a spokesperson for Grosvenor told People on Sunday, December 3.

Following reports from The Sunday Times stating that Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, will not be attending Grosvenor's wedding to Olivia Henson in June 2024, it is expected that Princess Kate Middleton, Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla will be present. Grosvenor, 32, a close family friend of the royals and the current Duke of Westminster, has deep royal connections and official roles within the monarchy. Additionally, he was chosen as one of the godparents for Meghan and Harry's son, Archie, 4, as well as being personally selected by the couple who also share a daughter, Lilibet, 2.

The newspaper reported that Harry and Meghan were excluded because of the continued tension between him and William. The rift between the royal brothers heightened after Harry and Meghan resigned from their positions as senior working members of the British royal family in early 2020.

The rift between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and his brother Prince William grew wider following Harry's candid revelations about their royal experiences in the Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan" and his explosive memoir "Spare." In the tell-all, Harry openly discussed his tumultuous relationship with William, including a reported physical altercation sparked by William's comments about Meghan being "difficult" and "rude."

“It all unfolded in the blink of an eye. Incredibly fast,” Harry recounted of the 2019 incident. “He seized me by the collar, tearing off my necklace, and he shoved me to the ground. I fell on the dogs’ bowl, which broke beneath my back, its shards lacerating me. I lay there, stunned, before rising to my feet and ordering him to leave.”

According to royal expert Omid Scobie's latest book, Endgame, William reportedly felt that his brother and Meghan took the family by surprise with their public remarks about the institution. Scobie also stated that William no longer has a close relationship with his younger brother and that they have had very little communication since attending Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.

The brothers reunited in May for Charles’ coronation, but they didn't interact much and sat in separate sections. After the event, Harry left London to return home for Archie’s birthday, which fell on the same day.
