A well-known insider has hinted that the Daughters of Liberty will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), although fans are primarily interested in Spider-Woman.
It's incredible to think that we are just a year away from the release of a new Captain America film, especially considering that it has switched release dates with Deadpool 3. The upcoming movie, Captain America: Brave New World, will introduce Sam Wilson as the new Captain America on the big screen, and will feature Harrison Ford as General Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU.
Limited information is currently available regarding the film since leaks have been infrequent. However, there is a rumor indicating that the Daughter of Liberty may be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While this leak is not directly associated with the upcoming Captain America 4, this particular team does have a strong connection to Captain America in the comic books. Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that fans are predominantly enthusiastic about a single team member.
Daughters of Liberty rumor has Spider-Woman fans celebrating her potential MCU inclusion
A tweet shared by well-known scooper MyTimetoShineHello stated on October 20, “They’re coming to the MCU #DaughtersOfLiberty.”
That tweet was accompanied by a picture of the Daughters of Liberty: Peggy Carter, Sharon Carter, Echo, Mockingbird, Spider-Woman, Iron Patriot, and White Tiger.
The Daughters of Liberty, an underground team of freedom fighters, were first introduced in Captain America #7 in 2019. Their membership dates back to the 18th century and in the present day, they fought alongside a temporarily identity-less Captain America who was wrongly accused of murder by General Thunderbolt Ross.
Many individuals featured in the tweet are already part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Sharon Carter, who was unveiled as the new Power Broker in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, is already set to appear in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. Additionally, Echo is getting her own Disney+ series set to debut in 2024, and there are rumors that White Tiger's mentor will play a significant role in Daredevil: Born Again. And could Spider-Woman also be joining in on the action?

Listen, I need to make something clear: I beg you not to toy with my emotions when it concerns anything related to #JessicaDrew and #SpiderWoman. Can you fathom the years of anticipation I've invested just to witness her in a live-action portrayal? She's undeniably one of my top 10 Marvel superheroes, consistently underestimated.

However, fans really attached themselves to one name in particular, and it’s not even someone in the MCU: Spider-Woman.
When will we get more content featuring Jessica Drew?

Jessica Drew as Spiderwoman. Absolutely . The rest… pic.twitter.com/n2lgB0noO2
Spider-Woman is a result of a genetic experiment that granted her powers similar to those of a spider. In a 2009 series written by Bendis, she portrayed a former spy burdened with the emotional toll of being involved in the profession for an extended period. Since then, she has become a trusted ally to Captain Marvel, a dedicated mother, and a sporadic member of the Avengers.
The iconic Spider-Woman has been noticeably absent in multiple Jessica Drew comic stories in the MCU, including Secret Invasion. However, a variant of Spider-Woman was prominently featured in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and there are rumors of a live-action Spider-Woman appearing in the upcoming Madame Web solo film. If you're interested in finding out whether the Daughters of Liberty make it into the film, stay tuned for our coverage. As for Captain America: Brave New World, it is set to release on July 26, 2024.
