Sound Euphonium Season 3 Unveils Release Date in New Trailer

The highly anticipated third season of Sound! Euphonium is scheduled for release in April 2024. This exciting news was revealed through the anime's official X account, along with the release of the series' teaser trailer on December 27, 2023. Fans were given a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming season, building anticipation for the latest installment of the Japanese novel series, written by Ayano Takeda. Kyoto Animation has previously produced two television anime and two movies, and now fans eagerly await the release of the third season in 2024.

According to the teaser for season 3 of Sound Euphonium, Kumiko Oumae took on the role of president of Kitauji High's concert band following the departure of the senior members. As she entered her third year, Kumiko set her sights on guiding Kitauji High to the national competition. The previous year's disappointing performance only fueled her determination to achieve this goal.

Therefore, she began to ponder the team's upcoming performances with the aspiration of securing the gold medal at the national championships.

The teaser for Sound Euphonium season 3 showcased a brief preview of new transfer student Mayu Kuroe, who expressed her desire to play the euphonium for the band. The upcoming season is scheduled to air on NHK-E, with the original staff and cast members returning from the recent release of Sound! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest Arc, which premiered on August 4, 2023.
