Sojourn Takes the Seas with New Ocean Goddess Skin in Overwatch 2

A new Legendary skin for Sojourn in Overwatch 2 has been unveiled, transforming her into an oceanic deity. This skin will be available for purchase as part of the 2023 Overwatch 2 World Cup crowdfunding campaign. Blizzard has also announced that the online qualifiers for the World Cup are set to begin soon, featuring teams from Denmark, Portugal, Iceland, and Finland competing for their spots in the tournament. The final winners will receive a prize pool funded by 25% of the proceeds from Overwatch World Cup cosmetics and bundles purchased by the community.

A significant portion of the contributions will come from the Legendary and Supporter bundles, which feature a range of appealing cosmetics. Among these, the Ocean Goddess Sojourn skin is the standout item. This signature Legendary skin is exclusively available through the Legendary Overwatch Cup bundle for a limited time. While the in-game version of this skin is still in development, Overwatch 2 has given us a glimpse of the gorgeous concept art that is being used to create it.

Armando Gonzalez-Dorta, the artist behind popular Overwatch 2 skins like Pachimari Roadhog, Vampire Hunter Brigitte, and Infinite Seer Mercy, designed the concept for this skin. Inspired by Sedna, the Inuit goddess known as the Mistress of the Sea and Mother of Marine Life, the skin transforms Sojourn into a blue fish-like humanoid with water jets replacing her cybernetic thrusters. Fans of the DPS hero won't want to miss out on this unique skin.

In addition to this skin, the Overwatch 2 World Cup will also introduce several new skins. The Conference Bundles, available in the store starting June 20, will include home and away skins for Overwatch 2 heroes like Reinhardt, Reaper, Ashe, Widowmaker, D.Va, and Kiriko, representing each of the three regional conferences. Players can also earn home and away skins for Winston, Wrecking Ball, Zenyatta, and Ramattra, as well as a World Cup 2023 spray and player icon through Twitch drops during the World Cup Qualifiers.

Sojourn is receiving a lot of attention in Overwatch 2. In Season 5, a new cinematic trailer featuring the Canadian captain will be released, followed by a Sojourn Legendary skin as part of the Overwatch 2: Invasion bundle in Season 6. The bundle will grant players access to the highly-anticipated Story missions, in which Sojourn will play a prominent role. Additionally, purchasing this bundle will provide players with permanent access to Sojourn, enabling them to play as the new hero immediately after completing Story Mission challenges. Overwatch 2 is available on various platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
