According to an exclusive source from We magazine, there are still a couple of unresolved matters, such as the custody of their beloved dog, Bubbles. Sofia remains optimistic that they can reach an agreement and proceed with the process peacefully and fairly.

The star of Modern Family, aged 51, and the True Blood actor, aged 46, recently announced their separation after seven years of marriage. In a joint statement on July 17, Vergara and Manganiello shared, "We have made the tough choice to end our marriage. As two individuals who deeply love and care for each other, we kindly request privacy during this transitional period in our lives."

Manganiello — who tied the knot with Vergara in November 2015 — initiated divorce proceedings just two days after publicly announcing their separation, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split. The official date of their separation was recorded as July 2. As per court documents acquired by Us, the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place since their wedding.

After their highly publicized split, Vergara, who has a son named Manolo with her ex Joe Gonzalez, reportedly feels a sense of relief as the source reveals, "She's glad they ended things decisively." The friends of Joe and Sofia express their sadness over the failed relationship, but they unanimously agree that this outcome was ultimately for the better.

According to another source, the couple was said to be leading separate lives and had different interests. The source explained that she preferred socializing with friends while he preferred staying at home, resulting in minimal time spent together. They have been living separate lives for approximately a year, indicating that it was necessary to end their relationship. However, both individuals celebrated the canine's 10th birthday earlier in July.

Manganiello celebrated the dog's special day by getting a "Puppuccino" from Starbucks. He shared his tribute on social media, captioning it with "HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY BUBBLES!!!" The couple adopted the beloved dog not long after their wedding.

"She despises me. I anticipated her to be mine, my loyal companion. She was meant to be my faithful dog," Vergara humorously lamented about the canine during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in May 2021. "When she arrived at the house, I'm not sure what happened, but she seemed to think she belonged to Joe, and that's all she desires. I must admit, he treats her as if she were his own little daughter."

In addition, Vergara shared, "She slumbers beside him and becomes upset whenever I enter the room. It has become quite the scenario in our household."
