On announcing the news, Shreeves said: "There's an old saying that you always have to know the best time to leave even the greatest party.
My 32 years at Sky have been an unparalleled and exhilarating celebration. From the exhilaration of live Premier League coverage to the joyous Manchester City title celebrations, I've experienced countless unforgettable moments.
I've had the privilege to be part of a pioneering company that has brought about a revolution in football. However, the time has come for me to embark on a new chapter.

I have been fortunate to collaborate with We for an extensive period of 30 years. The commendable appreciation extended by Sky for my service is truly remarkable, and I hold immense admiration for the numerous individuals I had the privilege of working alongside during these three decades. Presently, I am thrilled to declare that I will soon embark on new ventures, ushering in fresh experiences.
Shreeves started out his career as an estate agent but by a quirk of fate ended up working at the World Cup in 1990.
