Simone Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, expressed admiration for her incredible achievement following another groundbreaking win in gymnastics.

Biles, 27, made history by capturing her ninth all-around title on Sunday, June 2, at the Xfinity U.S. Championships in Fort Worth, Texas. She dominated the competition with a remarkable lead of 5.9 points, surpassing the scores of all other competitors by a significant margin. This remarkable feat also made Biles the first gymnast, regardless of gender, to achieve nine all-around titles.

Owens, who is 28 years old, expressed his excitement on his Instagram Story, celebrating his wife's success with a simple "9th time!" He also shared a video from Biles' sister, Adria, where the couple can be seen giving each other a high five in the stands.

A new video was shared by Athleta, showing Owens watching Biles perform with her family. The caption read, "Simone Biles' family's reaction is everything."

In another video shared by Owens, Biles was seen being honored with the all-around title. Owens wrote, "Went 5 for 5! Swept every event."

Biles made a remarkable comeback at the national competition by winning all individual events, in addition to securing the all-around title for the second time after a two-year break from the sport.

In an interview at the competition, Biles expressed pride in her performance, stating that she has been gaining confidence and getting back into the rhythm of competing. She referred to herself as a "veteran" in elite gymnastics, mentioning that despite being older, she knows how to regroup and refocus for the next event, even if things don't go as planned.

Winning nationals helps Biles on the path to competing in the Paris Olympic Games this summer. She pulled out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to focus on her mental health.

In April 2023, Biles and Owens got married and have since supported each other wholeheartedly. Recently, Biles posted a message on her Instagram Story addressing any negative comments from critics.

"I want to address this quickly - the joke was never a joke! You all are being disrespectful to my relationship and my husband," she expressed. "So, I will say this once. Respectfully, leave us alone."

Furthermore, she stated, "If you continue to comment or tweet at me, I will simply block you. It's as simple as that. And no, I don't need to 'touch grass' or whatever else you suggest... To everyone else who supports us, we appreciate and love you all."

Owens faced criticism for referring to himself as the "catch" in their relationship on "The Pivot" podcast last year. Biles discussed the public backlash on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast this year.

In April, she clarified, "I was present in the room, sitting on a chair, though not visible in the videos. I watched the entire video and felt proud. When they showed me in that viral moment, I just rolled my eyes and chuckled."

"He never told me I wasn't a catch. Instead, he mentioned that he is a catch. And he truly is. I have never come across someone like him before. Many people who meet him express how they wish to have someone like him, someone like Jonathan."
