Red Bull's winning streak in Formula One races has come to an end with Ferraris Carlos Sainz claiming victory at the Singapore Grand Prix. Prior to this, the last time a Red Bull driver was unsuccessful in winning a race was in November 2022, when Mercedes' George Russell emerged victorious at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The team has been on an incredible winning streak, with Max Verstappen achieving his 10th consecutive race win last month, making it his 12th victory of the season. Meanwhile, his teammate Sergio Perez emerged as the winner in the remaining races, resulting in Red Bull's impressive run of 15 successive wins that dates back to last year.
However, their aspirations of winning at the Marina Bay Street Circuit were dashed due to a disappointing qualifying session on Saturday. Verstappen had to start from the 11th position on the grid, while Perez started from the 13th position. Verstappen expressed his frustration to reporters on Saturday, stating that the track does not allow for easy overtaking like on other circuits, making it challenging to come from behind and win the race.
Red Bulls' qualifying difficulties allowed an opportunity for the competition on Sunday, and it was Sainz who took advantage. He secured victory from the pole position, extinguishing Red Bulls' aspirations of winning every race this year. McLaren's Lando Norris came in second place, with Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton finishing over a second behind the Spaniard in third place. This win marked Sainz's second triumph for Ferrari, a celebratory moment for him.
"We dominated the race," Sainz exclaimed to the reporters. "We executed our plan flawlessly, achieving perfection, and secured a magnificent P1 finish. I am certain that Italy and Ferrari will beam with pride and joy over our triumphant accomplishment."

Verstappen finished fifth, further extending his championship lead with only seven races left, while Perez secured eighth place.
During lap 20, the safety car was deployed due to debris left on the track by Logan Sargeant after the Williams driver collided with a wall.
At the race's conclusion, the virtual safety car was deployed after Esteban Ocon's unexpected halt on the track. This advantageous situation enabled the Mercedes duo of Hamilton and George Russell to swiftly switch to fresh medium tires, leading to a captivating finale. They successfully overtook Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, who secured fourth place, yet were unable to catch Norris and Perez. Unfortunately, Russell encountered a crash during the closing moments of the race.
