Lance Stroll, the Formula One driver representing Canada, will be unable to participate in the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday. This is due to a severe crash he experienced during the qualifying session on Saturday, as reported by his team, Aston Martin.
While attempting to advance to the next round of qualifying, Stroll collided with the barriers at high velocity during the final corner of Q1. The impact resulted in substantial harm to his Aston Martin, scattering debris across the track and causing one of the front wheels to detach from the car.
In a statement on Sunday, the team said the 24-year-old was "still sore" and that repairing the car was a "huge job."

According to the statement made by Mike Krack, the team principal, the entire team is relieved that Lance managed to emerge from the car following the accident yesterday. However, he is still experiencing the repercussions of the significant impact crash. Our main priority now is for him to fully recover as quickly as possible. As a team, we have jointly decided that he will not participate in tonight's race and instead concentrate entirely on getting back behind the wheel for the Japanese Grand Prix next weekend.

Stroll got out of the car unaided and was later passed fit by the medical team, according to F1s official website.
