Ijichi Kiyotaka survives in Jujutsu Kaisen thanks to Kento Nanami and Shoko Ieiri
Although Ijichi Kiyotaka met a fatal stabbing by the curse user, Haruta Shigemo, the assistant manager of Tokyo Jujutsu High, survived thanks to the timely intervention of Kento Nanami and Shoko Ieiri. As depicted in Jujutsu Kaisen episode 12, Kento Nanami discovered an injured Ijichi lying near Shibuya station exit 13. His body was sprawled on the ground, blood pouring out profusely.
Nanami from the first-grade sorcerer class enlightened Nitta Akari and Nobara Kugisaki concerning Ijichi's condition and how he skillfully rescued him at the precise moment. Nanami further disclosed that Ijichi's determination to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer enabled him to survive.
In the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, it was later revealed that Ijichi Kiyotaka was taken to a medical tent, where Shoko Ieiri showcased her exceptional reverse cursed technique alongside Takuma Ino to heal him. Interestingly, Principal Yaga had anticipated a dire situation and set up the medical tent specifically for this purpose.
Chapter 113 highlights Shoko Ieiri's remarkable skills as the foremost practitioner of the reverse cursed technique, as she successfully healed Ijichi. Principal Yaga even acknowledged that without Shoko's intervention, both Ino and Ijichi would have perished.
In the anime (Image via MAPPA), Shoko Ieiri lauded Yaga for his proactive approach in setting up a medical tent beforehand. Had she arrived after Nanami's call, Ijichi's life would have been at stake. Nevertheless, thanks to the combined efforts of Kento Nanami and Shoko Ieiri, Ijichi Kiyotaka from Jujutsu Kaisen made a full recovery.
