Highlights

Popular content creator Fousey, known for his controversial behavior and multiple Twitch bans, was arrested during his 24/7 subathon livestream from his hotel room.

Fousey, renowned for his extensive YouTube and Twitch fan base, made the switch to Kick and inked a deal with them following his two-time ban from Twitch.

Subsequently, Fousey's apprehension unfolded when he dialed 911, falsely alleging a hostage crisis; however, subsequent investigation revealed that his actions prompted a mental health assessment rather than an arrest.

Popular content creator and streamer Fousey was arrested while live streaming his 24/7 subathon from his hotel room. Known for his controversial actions, Fousey has faced multiple Twitch bans in the past, due to his large following of hundreds of thousands on YouTube and his 10.4 million subscribers on FouseyTube. Despite the bans, he still amassed a significant audience on Twitch, with nearly 300,000 viewers who would tune in to watch his daily life for extended periods of time. His subathons, which involved streaming with a countdown timer that would extend with every new subscriber, were the cause of his two most recent Twitch bans.

Irritated by the bans, Fousey made the decision to say goodbye to Twitch and joined Kick, a rising platform that has successfully attracted many popular streamers, including Adin Ross, Trainwreck, Hikaru Nakamura, and Ac7ionman. On August 23, during his Kick IRL subathon, Fousey displayed evident fear and repeatedly mentioned that he had a stalker who was aware of his hotel room number.

Having experienced multiple swatting incidents similar to other streamers, Fousey then proceeded to call 911 and falsely claimed to be in a hostage situation with a gun held to his head. After spending some time convincing the emergency dispatcher that his life was genuinely at risk, four Miami police officers eventually arrived at his hotel room. It was at this point that he alleged his mother's safety was in jeopardy and that she was receiving threatening phone calls.

As he refused to calm down, the police had no choice but to handcuff and restrain him. While being escorted out of his hotel room, Fousey continued to hurl offensive language at the officers. Later, the Miami Police Department spoke to various news outlets, clarifying that Fousey was not detained but rather taken for a mental health evaluation due to his interaction with them. Consequently, he was brought to a hospital for evaluation. This arrest adds Fousey to the list of streamers who have been arrested during a livestream.

With the rise of numerous new streaming platforms and their large followings, streamers go to great lengths to captivate their viewers, even if it means showcasing controversial or peculiar behavior. Despite Fousey openly discussing his mental health challenges, some individuals argue that he "swatted himself." Fans eagerly await updates or developments in this unfolding story.
