In Oshi no Ko chapter 128, titled "Script Reading," the entire cast of '15-Year Lie' gathered together to participate in the film's script reading. During this session, Ruby found herself engaged in a heated argument with the Crow Girl. Uncertain about her assigned role, Ruby felt a sense of confusion and uncertainty.
That's when the Crow Girl disclosed that she would be portraying the roles of 'Child Role A and B,' which were previously played by Aqua and Ruby in their younger years. As for Aqua and Ruby, they were assigned to portray Hikaru Kamiki and Ai Hoshino, respectively. Additionally, the Crow Girl revealed that she would be adopting the stage name Tsukuyomi.
Meanwhile, Mem-Cho and Frill Shiranui had their first encounter. Mem-Cho was feeling anxious about meeting Frill, but it turned out that Frill was actually a fan of Mem-Cho. Around that time, an awkward reunion took place between Akane and Kana. Despite being perceived as friends by most, their relationship fell far short of that. Both Kana and Akane were cast as B- Komachi members, respectively portraying Nino and Takamine. Furthermore, the manga unveiled the roles of Melt Narushima and Taiki Himekawa. Melt would be portraying Gorou Amamiya, while Taiki was assigned to portray his father, Seijuro Uehara.
After that, Producer Kaburagi Masaya began the script reading. Gotanda had a number of worries about the filming process. Although he admired Tsukuyomi's acting abilities, he was unaware of her background. Furthermore, her performance reminded him of Aqua from his youth.
Furthermore, the director also had a problem with the film's last line. It appeared that the dialogue had been directly taken from Ai's DVD for Aqua, but its interpretation for the film was different.

Tomato Jan, Tomo Ayabe, and Mita Noria were all confirmed to portray the roles of Miyako Saitou, Ryosuke, and Ichigo Saitou correspondingly.
Right after, the cast members began inspecting their costumes. While Kana and Mem-Cho expressed satisfaction with their outfits, they were taken aback when they saw Ruby, who appeared uncannily similar to Ai Hoshino.
