Less than a year after their engagement, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro have decided to end their relationship. Alejandro, 30, expressed his gratitude to Rosalía for being a part of his professional success and for sharing the joyful moments they had together. He further stated that he never anticipated having to make a public statement about their private matter.
He continued, stating that a few months earlier, he and Rosi had decided to end their engagement. While there are countless reasons that can lead to a breakup, in their case, it was not caused by external parties or cheating.
As Alejandro adjusts to the new chapter of his life after the split, he couldn't stay silent in the midst of numerous reports suggesting that their relationship ended due to infidelity. "Out of respect for her, our families, and everything we went through, I couldn't stay quiet and let them attempt to ruin the most genuine love story that God has allowed me to experience," he expressed. "Without further delay, I want to express how much I love my fans and thank them for always being there."
Alejandro and Rosalía, both aged 30, first crossed paths at the 2019 Latin Grammy Awards. They confirmed their relationship almost two years later.
"I make an effort to spend time with my girlfriend. Whenever possible, we take a weekend off and travel," he explained to Rolling Stone in January 2022, referring to their relationship. "Some people thrive on drama, but that's not us. Unlike many popular celebrities who create a telenovela-like spectacle, we are genuine. We've been together for quite some time now."

Alejandro went on to propose to the Spanish singer in March, which was captured in their joint “Beso” music video.
"We became engaged in a way that surpassed all of my dreams. It was truly extraordinary," Rosalía reminisced about the proposal in an interview with GQ the following month. She revealed that the special moment occurred at his grandmother's residence in Puerto Rico. "I had no idea it was coming. You said, 'Come with me, I want to show you something.' Curious, I followed along, oblivious to what was about to happen. I believe you knelt down on one knee. I was also nervous, so I can't recall all the details."
Although Rosalía has not addressed her separation from Alejandro, sharp-eyed fans noticed her struggle to hold back tears while performing her heartfelt ballad "Hentai" at Lollapalooza Paris on Saturday, July 22.
