Shocking Plot Twist: Reacher Season 2 Bids Farewell to Key Character in Episode 6

Reacher Season 2 is ramping up the drama in Episode 6 as Jack Reacher and his team edge closer to uncovering answers about Langdon. However, a significant death will shake them to their core.

O’Donnell, Neagely, and Dixon are beginning to doubt their longtime friend Tony Swan's involvement with New Age. Despite Reacher's hope that his recruit is innocent, they pursue Langston and ultimately expose the truth behind his nefarious plan.

Reacher loses a frenemy in Season 2

At the conclusion of Episode 6, Langston’s henchmen fatally attack Detective Russo (Domenick Lombardozzi) as he attempts to shield Marlo Burns’s adolescent daughter and guide her to a place of safety.

During their comrade's funeral, Reacher and the team find themselves under attack from snipers. They interrogate the sole survivor in an attempt to gather crucial information. As they believe they are about to meet Swan, their rendezvous point is unexpectedly bombed. Following a new lead, they discover Marlo Burns, who works for New Age and knowingly placed them in harm's way during their initial encounter.

Russo confronts his captain about the Boston incident involving Reacher and the others, only to discover that the captain is corrupt and has been betraying the department for money. He has been colluding with Langston for financial gain.

Neagley uses her Nintendo Switch to track down the location of Burns and her daughter, and they hit the road to find them. They locate the pair hiding with a close friend and proceed to interrogate them. Burns confesses that Swan was never actually working with Langston, but instead hired him once she realized his true intentions. With this new information about the Little Wing, Reacher and the team come up with a plan.

Burns was used as bait to lure Langston, while her daughter was taken to safety with Russo. When the plan with Langston fails, Russo realizes they are being followed, leading to a high-speed chase to escape gunfire. Facing overwhelming odds in an underpass, Russo uses the car as a shield and instructs Burns's daughter to run to safety while promising to protect her. As she flees, Russo opens fire to provide cover and confronts Langston’s henchmen. In a shocking turn of events, Russo is shot multiple times as Neagley, O’Donnell, and Dixon race to their aid.

Just in the nick of time, they prevent one of the henchmen from murdering Burns's daughter. Unfortunately, Russo succumbs in Neagley's embrace before the ambulance arrives.
