Antony will postpone his return to training with Manchester United after the international break due to assault allegations.
Our sources reveal that Antony has been granted a leave of absence with full pay, rather than being suspended. Man Utd will consistently assess the situation as it progresses.
Antony, the winger, was excluded from the Brazilian team earlier this week after his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavalin, initially accused him. Subsequently, he made an appearance on Brazilian television, vehemently denying the allegations.
In May 2022, Rayssa de Freitas alleged that she was physically assaulted by Antony and another woman, necessitating her hospitalization.
Manchester United's statement stated that Antony's allegations have been acknowledged. Players who did not partake in international matches should return to training on Monday. However, Antony has agreed to postpone his return until further notice in order to address the allegations.
The club expressed condemnation towards acts of violence and abuse. They realize the significance of protecting all individuals involved in this matter and acknowledge the profound impact these allegations have on abuse survivors.
Anthony stated that he has reached an agreement with Manchester United to temporarily step away from the team in order to address the allegations made against him. This decision was made mutually to prevent any distractions to his teammates and unnecessary controversy for the club.
"I'd like to emphasize once again that I am innocent of the allegations made against me, and I am committed to fully cooperating with the authorities in order to uncover the truth. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to resume my participation in the sport at the earliest convenience."

During an interview on the Brazilian network SBT this week, Antony refuted the allegations and expressed confidence that the truth will ultimately be revealed. When questioned about any potential involvement in assaulting women, Antony firmly stated, "I have never done so, and I never will."
He added: "[Violence towards women] is totally wrong, 100 per cent wrong.
"I have a mother, a sister. I would never want this to happen to them."
De Freitas reportedly notified the Sao Paulo Civil Police about the alleged incident, as per reports from multiple sources.
In a recent television interview, Ingrid Lana stated that she felt pressured by Antony to engage in sexual activities during a business trip to England last year.
Lana claimed in the interview that Antony had invited her to his residence and forcefully pinned her against a wall, resulting in her sustaining a head injury.
"He forcefully pressed me against the wall, causing me to hit my head. I had merely intended to conduct business, but upon arriving at his invitation, it became apparent that he had hidden intentions."
When questioned about Lana's allegations, Antony adamantly denied any wrongdoing during the interview on Friday, stating, "Absolutely not. I am completely confident that I never made physical contact with any woman. I am completely certain, with no doubts."
"I will produce the proof and people will understand. They will see the truth."
