Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary), an Emmy winner, has been added to the cast of the destination wedding comedy, completing the quartet for The Fabulous Four. Joining Ralph are Timothy V. Murphy (Appaloosa) and Bruce Greenwood (The Fall of the House of Usher). The cast already includes Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler, and Megan Mullally. Filming has commenced in Georgia under the SAG Interim Agreement, which the film was granted due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

The film, written and directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse (The Dressmaker), is described as a feel-good comedy. It revolves around three lifelong friends (portrayed by Sarandon, Mullally, and Ralph) who journey to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids at the surprise wedding of their college friend Marilyn (played by Midler). This momentous occasion brings the friends back together, rekindling their sisterhood and confronting their past. Amidst the festivities, unexpected sparks, drinks, and romance transform their lives in unforeseen ways.
