If anyone can help Shakira move on from her breakup with Gerard Piqué, it's Cardi B.

Shakira, who is 47 years old, recently released her 12th studio album titled Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry) on Friday, March 22. This album marks her first since ending her 12-year relationship with Piqué, who is 37. While Shakira has used her music to express her emotions towards her ex, her collaboration with Cardi, aged 31, on the track "Puntería" ("Aim") shows a different side of her.

Shakira sings in her song, "You know exactly where to aim to keep me under your spell. You hit me where it hurts the most, even though we may not be the best match. But when we're together in bed, all worries fade away."

In the music video for "Puntería," Shakira embodies a divine goddess of love. She is a mix of Cupid and Artemis as she gracefully hovers above a field of Centaurs. Once she captures her target, she lovingly tends to him, showcasing her nurturing side.

Cardi, who proudly embraces her Afro-Latina identity, brings the energy up a notch. She sings, "Give me your fire," before mentioning her roots in the Bronx and Georgia. She playfully references her cooking skills and compares herself to a wolf like Shakira, calling her partner her tiger. She ends with a cheeky line about leaving a lasting impression.

Cardi sings in her final lines, "You are my tiger / Bite me hard, I will never forget this ass," as translated lyrics reveal.

Shakira's first album in seven years, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, includes collaborations with Rauw Alejandro ("Cohete"), Grupo Frontera ("Entre Paréntesis"), Fuerza Regida ("El Jefe"), Manuel Turizo ("Copa Vacía"), and Ozuna ("Montonia"). Additionally, the album features a special song titled "Acróstico" with her and Piqué’s sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9.

Creating this album has been a transformative journey for me," Shakira shared. "Each song I wrote felt like I was rebuilding myself. Singing them turned my tears into diamonds and my vulnerability into strength."

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times on March 16, Shakira revealed that she had "put my career on hold" to support Piqué during his time at F.C. Barcelona. "Love required a lot of sacrifices," she mentioned. In another interview with Billboard in September 2023, Shakira emphasized that her top priority has always been "my home, my family."

"My biggest dream was to raise my sons with their father, more than achieving fame and awards," she revealed. "I wanted to overcome challenges and grow old together. But I know that's not happening now."

After the breakup in 2022, with rumors of Piqué cheating on Shakira with Clara Chia Marti, Shakira decided to move to Miami. In July, she dipped her toes back into the dating scene by going on a few dates with Miami Heat player Jimmy Butler.
