Peter Crombie, known for his role in Seinfeld, has passed away at the age of 71. His ex-wife, Nadine Kijner, announced the news on Instagram, expressing her shock and deep sadness. She thanked him for the wonderful memories and described him as a good man. Kijner also shared throwback photos from their wedding and wished for him to "fly free into the un-boundless source of light," and to be greeted with love by his parents and their pet cat, Oliver.
She went on to say, "So many people adored you for being a kind, generous, compassionate, and imaginative soul."
Kijner later informed TMZ on January 12th that Crombie had been diagnosed with a short illness before he passed away. Further information about Crombie's cause of death has not been disclosed.
Crombie gained recognition for his portrayal of sitcom writer “Crazy” Joe Davila on Seinfeld season 4. He portrayed an adversary of the show's star Jerry Seinfeld, with his character briefly dating and stalking Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).
Peter Crombie portrayed the character Joe Davola on 'Seinfeld' and also appeared in other notable shows and movies such as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, NYPD Blue, Natural Born Killers, The Doors, The Blob, and House of Frankenstein.
