In 2010, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World made its debut, narrating the tale of a young man's quest to win the heart of a girl. However, his journey involves overcoming the challenge of defeating her seven former partners.

Adapted from the widely acclaimed graphic novel, the film stars Michael Cera in the lead role of Scott Pilgrim and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, Scott's romantic interest. Notably, the cast boasts an impressive lineup of esteemed actors, including Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, and many others.

Ten years after its initial release, the entire cast of the movie reunited to reprise their characters for the upcoming Netflix anime series, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, set to premiere on November 17, 2023.

Upon announcing the project in March 2023, the film's creator, Edgar Wright, expressed his gratitude for the tight bond that formed between the "Scott Pilgrim" cast, resulting in lifelong friendships. He revealed that an ongoing group email, which has been active since 2010, still connects the entire cast. Wright was thrilled to share the news that they had found a way to continue the adventure and was delighted to witness the cast's return, both visually and audibly, to their beloved roles.

In 2010, the highly-anticipated film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was released, bringing to life the captivating story of a young boy's pursuit of love. This remarkable film adaptation, inspired by the beloved graphic novel, showcased the talents of renowned actors such as Michael Cera in the lead role of Scott Pilgrim, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the enchanting Ramona Flowers, Scott's love interest. Joining this stellar cast were acclaimed A-List celebrities including Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, and many others.

After almost ten years since its release, the entire cast of the movie gathered once again to portray their characters in the upcoming Netflix anime series, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, set to premiere on November 17, 2023.

Edgar Wright, the creator of the film, expressed his gratitude for the strong bonds formed within the "Scott Pilgrim" cast, stating, "Fortunately, the 'Scott Pilgrim' cast became like a close-knit family, and lifelong friendships were established." He further shared, "We still maintain a group email thread comprising the entire cast, which has been active since 2010. I was thrilled to inform everyone about our plans to continue the adventure. Witnessing the return of familiar faces and voices has been an absolute delight."

Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim)

Following his portrayal of Scott Pilgrim, Cera went on to pursue acting, as well as taking on the roles of writer and director for various projects. He appeared in films such as This Is the End, Molly's Game, the Lego Batman Movie, Sausage Party, and Barbie, among others. In addition, Cera showcased his talent on the Broadway stage in 2019, earning a Tony nomination for his performance in The Waverly Gallery.

In 2018, Cera tied the knot with his longtime partner Nadine, and in March 2022, the couple joyfully welcomed their first child.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers)

After her performance, Winstead went on to secure roles in The Thing, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Fargo, Gemini Man, and Birds of Prey. In 2012, Winstead received critical acclaim for her portrayal in the Sundance film Smashed. Apart from her acting career, Winstead also collaborates with producer Dan the Automator in the musical duo Got a Girl.

Winstead began dating Ewan McGregor in 2017 and the pair share son Laurie, who was born in 2021.

Routh, who played Superman in 2006, returned to the world of superheroes by landing a recurring role as Ray Palmer/The Atom on the CW's Arrow in 2014. He continued his character's journey on The Flash and became a main figure on DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Routh bid farewell to this role in 2022 when The Flash concluded. Apart from these shows, he has also appeared in a series of Hallmark films.

Routh married actress Courtney Ford in 2007. The twosome share son Leo James, whom they welcomed in 2012.

Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves)
